Practical 7
Aim:- To perform a practical to create a topology and configuration VLAN.

Software Used :-
1. Cisco Packet Tracer (7.2)
2. Ubuntu (22.04) Operating System

Step 1:-
Create topology Take 1 Switch and 1 server and different pc’s then a Create 2 different
networks And connect them with switch and server.

Step 2:-
In this step we give Ip address to server and After that in Services section we Start a
DHCP for Ip address configuration in pc.

Step 3:-
In this step we create 2 VLAN Networks ‘student’ , ‘faculty’ and there is one default vlan network.
After createing we can see below image 2 active VLAN Networks
After this we Configure both VLAN networks with CLI Commands.

Step 4:- Now in this Step we enable DHCP in pc for Ip address.

Step 5:-
In this Step we drop a Packet in same Network pc and we can See that pc successfully
Received packet But Network2 pc’s cannot Receive a packet because of a 2 Different VLAN
Networks.

Step 6:- Now we Check ping command of Both Networks Pc’s

Results and Conclusion:-

• Create topology with 2 Networks named ‘student’,’faculty’ connect them with server
and give Ip address to Server
• After That I configure a Switch with Different CLI commands to configure a 2 VLAN
Networks and enable 6 ports of pc.
• Packet Successfully received by 1 VLAN Network pc’s but it Cannot Received by
Another Created Network pc’s

By doing this Practical I Learn how to Configure VLAN with Different Networks in Computer
