Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan


in Mathematics

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the discussion, the students are expected to:

1) practice and reinforce their multiplication skills and;

2) demonstrate improved accuracy and speed in recalling multiplication facts.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic: Multiplication Table

Reference: Mylah Gerena: Detailed Lesson Plan in Mathematics III

Materials:

• Mobile phones or tablets with internet access for each student

• Projector and screen, and/or laptop (for teacher demonstration)

• Quizizz account with pre-created multiplication flashcard quizzes

III. PROCEDURE

A. INTRODUCTION

1. Begin the lesson by discussing the importance of multiplication skills in

everyday life and how mastering multiplication facts can help students in

various mathematical tasks.

2. Introduce the online platform Quizizz and explain its features, including the

flashcard theme and the competitive aspect with the pointing system.

3. Review the rules for using Quizizz and emphasize the importance of both

accuracy and speed in answering multiplication problems.


B. DEMONSTRATION

1. Display a sample Quizizz flashcard quiz on the projector screen / laptop.

2. Demonstrate how to access the quiz, read through the questions, and submit

answers.

3. Show students how the pointing system works and explain how points are

distributed based on both accuracy and speed.

4. Model answering a few multiplication problems to familiarize students with the

platform.

C. INDIVIDUAL PRACTICE SESSION

1. Instruct each student to log in to their Quizizz account or join the quiz session

using a unique code that will provide by the teacher.

2. Explain that students will be working individually to answer and complete the

assigned quiz.

3. Monitor student progress and provide support as needed while they work

through the quizzes.

4. Encourage students to focus on their own performance and strive to improve

their multiplication skills throughout the session.

D. REVIEW AND REFLECTION

1. After completing the quizzes, gather the class together for a brief review.

2. Discuss any challenging concepts or common mistakes encountered during the

practice session.

3. Allow students to share their experience using Quizizz, including what they

enjoyed and any strategies they found helpful.
