NARRATIVE REPORT

Activity: Gender and Development and Anti-Sexual-Harassment Symposium

Location: St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. Gymnasium

Date: September 29, 2023

Last September 29, 2023, St. Peter’s College of Toril hosted a special event

called a symposium. This gathering was all about Gender Development and how to

prevent Sexual Harassment. The ones in charge were the CSC Officers, and all the

students from the college took part in this important activity. It's super crucial to have

events like this because everyone at SPCT needs to understand the importance of

treating everyone fairly.

Ms. Josel Quiring and Mr. Mark John Paul Aquino from the GELAS Department

were our hosts for the day. It all kicked off with a prayer, and then our Dean, Atty. Grecel

B. Paclipan, PhD, gave a warm welcome. Mr. Francis Jericho H. Cabadunga, RPm,

from the College Guidance, introduced our Speaker, Mr. Leonides Jimmy Jesuro III,

RGC, MAIC. He started by sharing his own experiences and then dived into the topic of

Gender and Development. He even showed us an interesting video about a girl facing

mistreatment from people around her.

Once he finished talking about Gender and Development, Mr. Jesuro switched

gears to talk about Anti-Sexual Harassment and the rules everyone should follow. After

an engaging hour, he welcomed questions from the students. The gymnasium was

buzzing with excitement as many students were eager to ask questions and hear his

insightful answers.

When the Q&A wrapped up, Mr. Jesuro shared another video, led by Atty. Chel

Diokno, diving deeper into the issue of Sexual Harassment. The event ended with a big

round of applause, and Mr. Jesuro received a certificate from Ms. Estrella Soriano,

CSASS.

Understanding Gender Development and how to prevent Sexual Harassment

isn't just important for personal growth. It's crucial for creating a society where everyone

feels included and safe. It gives students the power to be active in making positive

changes and teaches them how to interact respectfully and responsibly with others.

Activity: “Basura ko, Iuwi Ko Launching”

Location: St. Peter’s College of Toril, Inc. Gymnasium

Date: August 15, 2023

The Basura ko, Iuwi ko Launching event took place at the SPCT Gymnasium on

August 15, 2023, with the primary objective of enlightening students about the critical

importance of waste reduction and fostering their enthusiasm for assuming

responsibility in the proper management of waste disposal.

At 7:30 PM, students from different levels gathered for this significant event. Sir James

Bernadas, an assistant head at CEDO, took the stage as the speaker. He began by

pointing out the serious problem of too much trash piling up around the school. He

stressed how bad this is for the environment and why it's up to each person to fix it. Sir

James Bernadas didn't just talk—he backed up his points with numbers and real stories

to show how trash hurts nature. He said we all need to work together to make less

trash, use things again, and recycle to help nature stay healthy.

The Basura ko, Iuwi ko Launching event wasn't just about talking. It also

introduced a cool new idea: the "Basura ko, Iuwi ko" campaign. This campaign asks

students to bring their own trash home instead of just depending on the school to clean

it up. Sir James Bernadas made it fun too, with games and activities all about managing

trash. These activities were all about teaching students to sort trash, make compost,

and why we should cut down on using stuff we throw away quickly.

The event wrapped up with a big message: everyone needs to join in and make

things better. Sir James Bernadas urged students to be part of the "Basura ko, Iuwi ko"

campaign and tell others about cutting down on trash.

In the end, the Basura ko, Iuwi ko Launching event didn't just talk the talk—it

walked the walk. It got students thinking about trash in a whole new way and made

them want to do something about it. Sir James Bernadas’ talk was so interesting that it

got students pumped to join the "Basura ko, Iuwi ko" campaign and be more eco-

friendly every day. This event lit a spark, making everyone more aware of how we affect

the environment and inspiring a cleaner and greener school for everyone.
