Dear Dr. Llanura;

Greetings!
Water is a vital need of every human being. A human needs 8 liters of water
a day, but being in school, we can’t truly achieve that goal because of the busy
schedule and the student’s limited carrying capacity. We, the Grade 11 students
taking up Accountancy, Business and Management Strand, initiated the project
entitled “HYDRATE TO ELEVATE: EMPOWERING SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
STUDENTS WITH CONVENIENT ACCESS TO WATER”, because we are
concerned about the lack of access to water in school. This is the main reason why
we want to start this project.
We are writing to you to accept our proposal letter. We will address the
problem of every student in Senior High School, to be able to refill our tumblers
rather than spend our money on plastic water bottles. And if ever you'll accept our
proposal, we would glad to do our best for the problem that we want to be solve.
Our group's mission is to communicate the problem to you and for you to approve
our proposal letter.
We hope that you consider our proposal letter, Mr. Hernaez. We will be
happy to answer any questions you may have about our project. Thank you!

Sincerely yours,

ABSTRACT OF EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A project called “HYDRATE TO ELEVATE: EMPOWERING SENIOR
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH CONVENIENT ACCESS TO WATER”
aims to empower seniors in high school by giving them easy access to safe
drinking water in the campus. This project emphasizes the importance of hydration
for students' academic success and seeks to address the issue of water access in the
schools. Hydrate to Elevate seeks to raise student achievement, lower absenteeism,
and encourage healthy behaviors by installing water fountain and educate students
about the need of staying hydrated. This proposal describes the advantages of the
project and offers a strategy for its implementation and sustainability, with the aim
of having a beneficial influence on senior high school students' academic and
personal lives.
A proposal has been put forward to install water fountain in the east and
west side of the SHS building. This will provide students with a reliable source of
drinking water throughout the day, as well as a huge save buying water from a
canteen. The proponents are aiming for a successful implementation of the project
“Hydrate to Elevate". The purpose of the project is to help students maintain a
positive mental state even in hot conditions. Our group will produce a weekly
report to track the project's progress. We will give responsibility to SSG Officers to
monitor and use a gantt chart to determine the days that students use the water
fountain. This will save money and time, reduce the need for single use plastics,
and encourage the use of reusable bottles. Weekly and twice-monthly checks will
be made to monitor and assess the drinking fountain. For the most part, the total
budget cost is ₱74,600.00.

CONTEXT OF THE PROPOSAL

In the senior high school building located in DAVAO CENTRAL
COLLEGE Rasay Street, students may have to bring their water bottles from home
and others rely on water that is used to sell by the school canteen students may
need to drink more water to stay hydrated but others may not have easy access to
it. To address this issue a proposal has been put forward to install drinking
fountains in the east and west side of SHS building. By having drinking fountains
easily accessible in the school, we will have a reliable source of drinking water
throughout the day. This will not only promote better hydration and overall health,
but also the students be having a huge save buying water from a canteen.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION
The purpose of this project is many of the students bring their own tumbler
(water container) but nowhere to refill it. Allowing water fountain in school
campus can assist students maintain a positive mental state even in hot conditions.
Because of the availability of drinking water in their school campus, each student
and teacher will save money and time. It will also result in less plastic bottles and
cups, which are typically used as containers for the drinking water purchased in
our canteen. This petition will be extremely beneficial to students, parents, and
technologists, as well as to our environment.
Water fountain also reduce the need for single use plastics in school as it
encourages the use of reusable bottles. If facilities are not provided for children to
refill reusable bottles, then plastic bottles will be used, and if there aren’t the
suitable recycling facilities, these just end up in landfill. However, even if the
bottles are put in recycling, this doesn’t reduce the demand for these plastics which
isn’t sustainable as the bottles may not be made from 100% recycled plastic.
Our group is best fit to implement this project because we have a clear goal
while working forward as a team. With each of our different skills, we complement
each other and make up our weaknesses to produce a much better output. We make
sure to learn from our mistakes and fill in the gaps in our knowledge to make the
task successful. We commit ourselves to this project wholeheartedly because we
want to help our fellow students’ growth, health and focus towards academics and
be a better version of themselves

MONITORING AND EVALUATION

To make the monitoring and evaluation effective, we will do a weekly check
for monitoring and twice a month for evaluation. For us to know the progress and
what areas that need to improve. Also, to check and maintain the cleanliness of the
water fountain. Furthermore, to gain feedback and recommendations for our
project and use them to improve our water fountain. And most importantly, to
ensure that all of our objectives are properly and safely implemented on the
campus.

REPORTING SCHEME
To ensure the effectiveness of the project the group will see to it to create a
weekly report for them to know the progress of the project.
In order to implement our plan effectively, we need to establish clear
guidelines and processes for tracking consumption activity in both side of the
building. This may involve working closely with the SSG Officers to ensure they
understand their responsibilities and have the necessary tools and resources to
collect accurate data.
First. We will task the SSG Officers to check if the drinking fountain is
properly used and maintained. If they find any problem or issues with the fountain,
then they will report it to the assigned project overseer.
Second. We will use the Gantt chart to know the days of consumption of
water fountain among students and also to know if the consumption rate is
increasing or decreasing within that month.
Since the reporting schedule is weekly, we can ensure that the water fountain
is being properly maintained and used. We can also check if our project is effective
and making a change towards the students’ academic lives. A progress report is a
valuable tool for keeping everyone involved in the project informed about its
status, identifying any issues or challenges that need to be addressed, and tracking
progress against the project's objectives.

CONCLUSION
We are here to propose our concern about the access of water in each
classroom of Davao Central College.
We know that water is one of the most precious resources in the community
and that is the main reason why we choose to promote this issue just because we
know that a lot of students are relatable on this problem of the campus. We also
noticed that a lot of students don’t get to drink water because the prices are
expensive.
Promoting a drinking water fountain in school can have many benefits. First,
it provides easy access to clean drinking water, which can encourage students to
drink more water throughout the day. This can lead to better hydration levels and
ultimately better academic performance. Additionally, a water fountain can reduce
waste from bottled water, which is both costly and harmful to the environment.
Finally, promoting the use of a water fountain can help teach students about the
importance of water conservation and sustainability.
In summary, water is vital for student health and wellbeing, and installing a
water fountain can have many benefits for both students and the environment.
