Free Water Solves Dehydration Problem

Hydrate! Don't DIE-drate.

This is the striking motto of the MNHS Free Drinking Water Program which acknowledges the
importance of drinking water being accessible to busy learners in school.

This project further aims to provide free Drinking Water at different locations within the school
premises for the consumption of students, teachers, employees, and visitors alike

Madame Sofia S. Vailoces, MNHS School Principal, initiated the said program in early December
of 2022 as she took its resource to the school's MOOE fund to provide hydration among the school's
constituents.

"I wanted to help those students who did not have any money or could not afford to buy water
in our canteens," the school Principal proclaimed.

She expressed the importance of drinking purified water regularly to get rid of the large
percentage of deceases afflicting learners which was attributed to poor water supply and contamination.

Furthermore, the school takes necessary measures to make sure that the free drinking waters
are not only adequate but also of the highest quality.

FM19 Water Refilling Station, the supplier for the Free Drinking Water Program, successfully
passed the Sanitary Permit and Bacteriological Analysis of Water issued by the MUMC, Ozamis City.

Free Purified Drinking Water is strategically located in the school's Canteen 1 and Canteen 2,
and students can enjoy the supply with the use of their tumblers.

The project has been garnering positive feedback from the students and teachers and has been
helping solve the problem of dehydration during hot weather.

"As a student in MNHS I feel most likely grateful and I appreciate the convenience and cost
saving it provides. Tas it will likely encourage the students to bring refillable water bottles instead of
purchasing those single used plastic bottles, which can reduce waste in our environment. Overall, I'm
thankful because the free water in our school benefits us students in MNHS and the environment.," this
was a statement by Aleana Sullano, an MNHS student.
