MNHS Practices Bayanihan, Aids Flood Victims

Midsalip National High School faculty and students banded together to extend help to residents
affected by the devastating flood __________ which occurred during the Christmas holiday season of
2022 at Misamis Occidental, Philippines.

Under the guidance of MNHS Principal, Mrs. Sofia Vailoces, teachers and students were
encouraged to donate relief goods, clothing, and cash to aid in the recovery efforts of the affected
residents.

January 20, 2023, MNHS teachers, Mrs. Charess V. Palangan and Mrs. Keren Pearl V. Razona,
spearheaded the delivery of the aid to the affected areas in Misamis Occidental which included relief
goods, clothing, and cash donations that were a lifeline to those residents who were struggling to meet
their daily needs.

The school donated Php 12,600 bags worth of rice, Php 9,200 worth of canned sardines, Php
2,100 worth of coffee, and Php 3,600 worth of noodles summing-up to Php 27,500.00 donations from
the generous Midsalipnons.

Contributions made by the MNHS faculty and students provided temporary relief to the affected
families and helped alleviate their suffering and their generosity and kindness in the aftermath of the
flood demonstrate the power of community and the importance of solidarity in times of crisis.
