In today’s “bhaag daud bhari Zindagi me rukna mana hai” that’s what’s our generation has been taught

that no matter what do not stop because the competition is that tough that if we stop we are left behind
and nobody can afford to be left behind. Because others aren’t stopping and it just not being left behind
that bothers someone but the fear of being left behind is far more worse.

My mom always says that “ aag lgade tere phone ko” and the fact is that she is right, the worst thing
that could have happened to our generation has already happened, social media, the fact that we know
it is bad for ourselves and it is addictive and somewhere it is ruining our mental health, which we know,
but we have choosen to ignore it, ‘the blissful ignorance’ that we live in is destroying us in installments
and we aren’t the slightest bothered. I am sure that everyone’s parents have told them that “ye nayi
nayi bimariya hmare zamane me to nahi hoti thi”, “esa kuch nahi hota”, “busy raha kro, apne kaam pe
dhyaan do, ye sab faltu ki baate hoti hai” in a way they are right, and in a way they are wrong. The thing
is they think that mental health is not important because in their time people didn’t used to show off on
social media about everything, because it didn’t existed. But now eveyone posts everything, because the
‘FOMO’ i.e., Fear of Missing Out is taking over the minds of people and is forcing people to show off, and
each and everyone is doing this, including me.
