RESOLUTION NO. 00___

SERIES OF 2024

RESOLUTION ADOPTING SCHOOL UNIFORMS FOR NEW CANAAN INTEGRATED

SCHOOL

WHEREAS, Republic Act (RA) No. 9155 recognizes and strengthens the role of
School Governance Council (SGC) in upholding children’s rights, and promoting
respect and well-being in the learning environment to ensure effective education
service delivery;

WHEREAS, the Constitution -and-by laws of the School Governance Council (SGC)
allows the organization to adopt rules that may be beneficial for the students in
particular, and the school, in general;

WHEREAS, research suggests that uniforms can improve student performance,

instill self-confidence, foster self-esteem, increase attendance, limit disciplinary
referrals, and enhance school safety;

WHEREAS, the School Governance Council of New Canaan Integrated School does
hereby find that school uniforms would improve the learning environment for the
New Canaan Integrated School;

WHEREAS, economically disadvantaged students, and or student assistants will

receive uniform components through funding provided by donations;

WHEREAS, wearing of school uniform will be scheduled on Monday and Thursday,

will help the teachers and staff to easily identify the learners as they go around the
campus or during scheduled programs and activities;

WHEREAS, the School Governance Council will adopt this resolution at least 90
days before the beginning of the 2024- 2025 school year;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of TITO YATOT (VICE CHAIRPERSON) duly

seconded by JOLITA SAMPAYON (TREASURER), hereby RESOLVE as it is hereby
RESOLVED: To wear the official school uniform every Monday and Thursday;

RESOLVED, at the NEW CANAAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL, BARANGAY NEW

CANAAN, ALABEL, SARANGANI PROVINCE, this 8TH DAY OF MARCH 2024.

A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE INCLUSION OF THE FIVE ESSENTIAL

SCHOOL POLICIES IN THE CRAFTING OF STUDENT HANDBOOK

WHEREAS, crafting of a student handbook is deemed necessary to serve as a guide for the
students regarding school policies and regulations;

WHEREAS, the rights, responsibilities and obligations of learners as outlined in Batas

Pambansa Bilang 232 and DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 shall be used to aid the crafting of
the student handbook;

WHEREAS, the five essential policies on attendance and punctuality, anti-bullying, haircut,
dress code, and rules on functions and policies shall be included in the student handbook

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT, by virtue of the recommendations of the

SGC meeting, be it resolved to include the eight essential school policies stated above this
18th day of November 2023.

RESOLVED FURTHER THAT, copies of this resolution be furnished to the schools Division
office- School head and SGC Secretary and must be circulated and posted on the
transparency board and other public areas within the school vicinity.

WE HEREBY CERTIFY THE CORRECTNESS OF THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION.
