Role-playing is the practice of acting out someone who is different from you,
perhaps as a training exercise. Students should role-play interactions with one another.
Students have the chance to engage in activities that mimic events related to careers
through role plays. Role plays should be content-focused, aligned with learning
objectives, and applicable to real-world circumstances in order to assist students
comprehend the value of using them. Student’s self-esteem, creativity, communication
skills, physical development, and capacity for problem-solving are all enhanced by role
play.

MECHANICS:

ROLE PLAY WITH A TWIST

Literary devices are not only used in narrative. They are essentially the aspects
that can be manipulated when conveying a story in any medium: on paper, verbally, in
music, or even silently. There are hundreds of literary devices (imagery, foreshadowing,
simile, flashbacking, etc.), but you should start with the simplest ones, those that are
called core story aspects. Since the topic is about literary devices, the students will
perform a 5-minute role play based on their favorite fictitious stories/movies. As they
act, their script should include as many literary devices as possible. They ought to get
dressed up and bring props or anything else that will help make the story more visually
appealing.
