I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering student at Visayas State

University-Isabel, Isabel, Leyte. As part of our course requirements in IEng 200b (Industrial
Engineering Capstone Project 1), I am required to conduct a capstone project where Industrial
Engineering principles can be applied. My Capstone project is entitled "Waste
Minimization of Concrete Hollow Block Production in Caleza Hardware Isabel, Leyte
Using Lean Concepts".

This research aims to identify wastes in the hollow block production and be able to prevent
them.. To achieve this, I would like to observe the current concrete hollow block production
process and collect relevant data. Rest assured that these data will be treated with strict
confidentiality and for educational purpose only.
