Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG) 2024 will be held during 18-20
August,2024 in Taipei ,Taiwan. APSIG brings in Internet Leaders from the Asia Pacific
region for a Training of Trainers program and brings together eminent speakers and
experts on topics of relevance to Internet Governance. The program involves a
systematic approach to understanding the Internet Governance issues confronting the
Asia-Pacific region and its implications and potential way forward. Following guidelines
will be helpful to chalk out the APSIG program:
❖ APSIG program will have specific themes including its goals, objectives,
stakeholders, and current policies related to the issue.
❖ Deep understanding of Internet Governance issues, including technical,
legal, economic, and policy aspects.
❖ Should be knowledgeable about the multi-stakeholder approach to
Internet Governance and have a good grasp of the key challenges and
opportunities in this field.
❖ Topics and themes will cover the issues and policies in the AP region.
❖ Need to look at the social, economic, political, and environmental factors.
❖ Examine and review existing programs and interventions that have been
implemented to address similar issues within the APSIG region.
❖ Assess their effectiveness and learn from past experiences.
❖ Consult with experts, policy makers, and stakeholders within the APSIG
program to gain insights, perspectives towards designing a robust
program.
❖ Consider individuals who have a proven track record of achievement in
the field of Internet Governance, such as published works, leadership
roles, or successful initiatives related to Internet Governance.
Selection Criteria for the Program Committee
1. Program committee (PC) will have 5-7 Members.

in Internet Governance. This can include individuals from different geographic regions,
gender, age groups, and professional backgrounds to ensure a well-rounded approach
to developing the program.
7. Look for individuals who are committed to education and capacity building in the field
of Internet Governance. They should be passionate about sharing their knowledge and
expertise with the next generation of leaders in this field.
1. PC member duties include designing the theme and sessions of the annual
APSIG meeting, locating speakers, designing the sessions, organizing the
program, eliciting feedback after the event, and reviewing the effectiveness of the
program to provide recommendations for the following years.
2. The PC shall report to the APSIG EC and community from time to time.
3. The term for PC membership is until the APSIG 2024 event in August 2024.
