TASK I: Let Us Review

In your previous grade level, you studied about compound sentence. Let me check if you can still
remember the lesson about compound sentence.

TASK 2: Let Us Study
Compound sentence is a sentence having two complete ideas joined by a connector. It can be used to express
cause and effect relationship.
Example:
1. A Bicolano vlogger has many followers and his contents are unique.
In this sentence, the cause is about the unique content, and the effect is having many followers.
Let us take a look at another example:
2. Leni Robredo filed her candidacy and won as vice president during the 2016 National Election.
Cause- filed her candidacy, effect- won as vice- president
3. The upsurge of covid case is alarming and some unmindful people just ignore it.
Cause- unmindful people, effect_ upsurge of covid 19 cases

A cause- effect relationship can be expressed using compound sentences. Always bear in mind that if
there’s a cause, there is a corresponding effect
