Ⅰ. 글로벌네트워크 과정
❍ 서울대학교 행정대학원 글로벌행정전공 (GMPA)에서 진행하는 글로벌네트워크
과정은 개발도상국 및 대한민국 중점협력국의 발전전략 수립과 실행에 기여할
전문인력을 체계적으로 양성하는 데 목적을 두고 2011년에 신설됨
❍ 전 과정은 100% 영어로 진행되며 17개월 동안 총 33학점을 이수 후,
학위논문을 작성하고 최종논문심사를 통과한 학생에게 행정학 석사학위
MPA(Master of Public Administration)를 부여함
❍ 특히, 글로벌행정전공 과정은 2014년 9월 신설된 공무원 국내외 교육과정과의
연계를 통해 한-외 공무원 교육 교육프로그램으로서 시너지 효과를 창출하고
있음. 협력국 공무원과 5급 이상 공무원의 공동연수로 학술적 교류 및 업무에
대한 생생한 토론 및 현장감 있는 조언을 통해 실질적인 경험 전수가 이루어짐

1. 글로벌행정전공
❍ 행정 및 경제정책 일반에 대한 이론적 학습과 한국 행정개혁과 경제발전을
실무적으로 탐구함
❍ 세부 전공에 대한 심화학습을 통하여 국가발전에 필요한 분야별 정책을 학습함
❍ 나아가 궁극적으로 협력국의 수요에 맞는 행정개혁 및 거버넌스, 경제개발정책
등에 관한 연구를 수행함

Ⅰ. Overview of the Global Network Program

❍ The Global Network Course will be run by the GMPA Program, Graduate
School of Public Administration(GSPA), Seoul National University (SNU). The
GMPA program was established in 2011 to systematically cultivate
professionals who will contribute to developing and implementing
development strategies in developing countries and Korea's key partner
countries.
❍ The entire courses are held in English. After 33 credits have been
completed for 17 months, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Public
Administration is granted to students who write a thesis and pass the final
review.
❍ In particular, the GMPA program creates synergy as an education program
for Korean and foreign public officials. The Korean Civil Servant Program in
the GMPA program was established in September 2014. Through joint
training between public officials of partner countries and Korean public
officials of level 5 or higher, practical experiences can be transmitted
through vivid discussions and realistic advice on academic exchange.

Ⅱ. Fields of Study
1. Global Public Administration Major
❍ Theoretical learning of administrative and economic policy in general and
practical
exploration of administrative reform and economic development in Korea
❍ Learn policies for each field necessary for national development through
in-depth
learning of detailed majors
❍ Furthermore, research administrative reform, governance, and economic
development policies that meet the needs of partner countries.

Ⅰ. 글로벌네트워크 과정
❍ 국제대학원은 빠르게 진행되고 있는 세계화와 그에 따른 국제 정치 및 경제
질서의 변화에 능동적으로 대처하고 더 나아가 동아시아 지역의 평화와 공동
번영을 추구하며 우리나라의 선진국 진입을 효율적으로 추진해 나가는데 있어서
중추적인 역할을 담당할 국제전문인력을 체계적으로 양성하는 것을 목표로 하고
있다.
❍ 국제경제, 국제정치 등 국제학의 핵심 기능분야와 아시아, 미주, 유럽 등 세계
주요지역을 중심으로 하는 국제지역학 분야를 동시에 제공하는 다학제적인
대학원 교육 체제를 구축하고 있다.
❍ 또한 순수학문뿐 아니라 실무경험을 강조하는 전문대학원으로서 현재 대부분의
강의가 영어로 이루어지고 있고 정규 학생의 약 50%가 50여 개국으로부터 온
외국인 학생으로 구성되어 있다.

II. 글로벌네트워크 과정 모집 학과
1. 국제통상
❍ 국제대학원에서 제공하는 국제통상 과정은 주제가 다양하다. 국제통상
전공생들은 국제통상과 금융, 국제경영 및 투자뿐만이 아닌 국제통상법과 협상
등을 연구할 기회가 주어진다. 국제통상 전공은 사례 연구, 전문가들이 제공하는
세미나, 시뮬레이션 강의와 같은 혁신적이고 전문적인 교육을 통해 정치-사회적
및 경제적 변화에 대하여 지식을 갖춘 국제통상 전문가를 양성하고 있다.
2. 국제협력
❍ 국제협력 전공은 국제정치 및 안보, 국제 경제 정책, 국제법 및 국제기구 운영,
국제 문화의 다양성 등의 주제에 대한 학제간 연구기회를 제공한다. 이 과정은
역동적으로 변화하는 국제 환경에 대한 이해와 지식을 바탕으로 국제협력의
촉진을 목표로 한다.
3. 국제개발
❍ 국제개발 전공은 국제개발의 현장에 국내외적 전문성을 지닌 전문가들을
훈련하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이 전공은 국제개발, 경제 성장, 사회 발전, 및 발전
정책에 관련된 강의들을 제공한다.
4. 국제지역학
❍ 국제지역학은 미래 리더에게 필요한 지역적 사회 특성에 대한 이해를 위하여
특정 지역 (아시아, 아메리카, 유럽)에 대한 포괄적인 전문성을 교육한다. 각

 지역의 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화, 역사, 지리 및 언어 수업을 제공한다.
5. 한국학
❍ 한국학은 한국에 대한 다양한 학제간 연구를 제공한다. 한국 문학, 역사, 정치,
경제, 국제관계, 인류학, 및 사회학적 강의들은 현장 실습 및 인턴십 기회 등과
더하여져 이루어진다. 한국학 과정은 영어, 및 한국어로 이루어진다.

Ⅰ. Overview of the Global Network Program

❍ GSIS SNU educates global leaders for an increasingly complex global
society. As both a professional and academic institution, it seeks to prepare
its students to assume leading roles in government and non-government
organizations, international organizations, multinational corporations, the
media, as well as think-tanks and universities. The curriculum is based on
an integrated, multidisciplinary approach, which connects theory with
practice.

Ⅱ. Fields of Study
1. International Commerce
❍ The curriculum of international commerce at GSIS is diverse. International
Commerce students are granted opportunities to delve in to the world of
international trade and finance, international business and investment, as
well as international trade law and negotiations. The International Commerce
major offers an innovative and specialized curriculum to train students into
international commerce experts, by providing students with a better
understanding of the current socio-political and economic changes through
case studies, seminars by experts, and simulation classes.

 2. International Cooperation
❍ A number of interdisciplinary courses on politics, international security,
international political economy, international law and organization, and the
diversity of culture are provided to students majoring in International
Cooperation. The curriculum aims to shed light on the dynamic changes of
the international environment so that students can learn to apply the
knowledge and promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
3. International Development
❍ International Development major aims to foster professionals in the field
of international development who are qualified with global-level academic
expertise with understanding of Korean perspectives. International
development major offers diverse theoretical and practical lectures related to
international development, economic growth, social development,
development policy.
4. International Area Studies
❍ International Area Studies trains students to become area specialists who
have a comprehensive understanding of specific regions of the world (Asia,
America, and Europe), equipping future leaders with extensive knowledge of
regional societies. Diverse courses on politics, economics, society, culture,
history, geography, the arts and languages are offered.
5. Korean Studies
❍ Korean Studies trains students into research specialists on Korea with a
comparative and interdisciplinary perspective. Its curriculum, consisting of
various courses on Korean literature, history, politics, international relations,
anthropology, sociology, economics, and culture, is enhanced by additional
practical programs, including field trips and internship opportunities. Korean
Studies courses are conducted either in English or Korean.
