In planning the Earth Hour event at my school, it is important for me to understand that not
everyone is aware of Earth Hour, and I should help by spreading awareness and the
importance of this event in my classroom as well as in staff meetings so that my colleagues
can also get their students involved in the Earth Hour event. I will also convey messages to
parents and the community by posting this event on the school's social media sites, as well as
through the learners, so their parents may get the word directly. Since many students at the
school use Tiktok, I will also post about my event on that social media site, and I will enlist
the assistance of fellow pupils who are familiar with the internet to assist me in getting the
information out to the communities.
This program will teach learners how to reduce, reuse, and recycle, as well as how to tidy up
after themselves and not litter anywhere on the school grounds. It will show learners how
much these three Rs can help save the environment, as well as how creative they can be using
recycled materials. Learners will also plant trees and work in the school garden, such as
growing vegetables for the community food program and the less fortunate. While this event
is taking place, I will encourage my colleagues, learners, and their parents to remain device-
free for the duration of the event and to reconnect with nature. Providing learners with
opportunities to read about environmental concerns is also a crucial aspect of the Earth Hour
event since it may help them broaden their understanding of what is happening with the
planet.
The Earth Hour event is important because it helps us make a difference in the world. In
participating in this event we encourage the use of ecologically friendly habits. To have more
people partake in this event can also help us to minimize environmental hazards.
