b. Choose one particular problem. What instructional opportunity does it provide compared to
the two other problems?

From the three (3) problems presented, we choose Problem Number 4. The question asked
in problem number 4 gives us the opportunity to connect formal Math particularly in teaching the
concept of subtraction using the presented scenario as compared to Problem number 2 and 3 which
pose direct questions and asks for direct answers. Problem number 4 also helps the learners to
develop Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).
