I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, 100% of the students will be able to:
a. Identify measuring instruments;
b. tackle the common systems of measurement;
c. Identify the value of the lines in measuring instruments.

The instructor will call randomly from the pool of students and ask whether they
have prior knowledge of Measuring instrument, Mensuration, and calculation, and/or
what comes to mind when they hear the word Mensuration, and calculation and/or
their experiences regarding Mensuration, and calculation
e. Motivation
Title: Leaning Tower of Feetza
Instructions: The students are grouped and they are tasked to build a structure as tall as
they can using only their shoes, the group with the tallest building wins
f. Lesson Proper
Ruler - is a tool or device used to measure length and draw straight lines. The rulers are
marked with standard distance in centimeters in the top and inches in the bottom and the
intervals in the ruler are called hash marks.
Metric Ruler’s numbers represent centimeters (cm) and individual lines between the
number is called millimeters (mm).
Inches is a unit of measurement. "in” is the abbreviation of it and (‘’) is its symbol.
Centimeter is a unit of length in the metric system, with the value of .1 of each scale
Millimeter is a unit of length in the metric system, with the value of 1 of each scale
