200004 Company Overview
This the station map, which shows company’s charging station present all across the india.
AC "Slow" Charging: -
Slow AC charging is the most common method of charging electric vehicles. An
EVSE supplies AC current to the vehicle’s on board charger which in turn
converts the AC power to DC allowing the battery to be charged.
Under AC Charging there are 2 categories of charging Normal AC charging As
mentioned above, electric 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers and 4-wheeler vehicles in India
has on-board charger that charge at rate of around 2.5kW to 3kW.
These AC 2.5KW or 3KW Chargers could fast charge a 2-wheeler (for a battery
with an energy density of 2KWh) in an hour’s time; 4-wheeler or larger vehicles
with batteries of 12 KWh or more will charged in five to six hour.
Global electric cars like the Nissan Leaf or the Tesla have on board chargers with
higher power ratings. This enables AC charging at a faster rate, from 7.7 kw to
22 kw.
Fast DC charging
In this method of charging, DC current is sent to the electric car's battery directly
via the DC charge port.
Fast charging’s faster charge rate (usually 50 kilowatts or more outside India) can
supply 100 or more km's of range per hour of charging. A significant fast
charging network available should make electric cars more attractive than
otherwise, and lead to higher adoption rates.
Voltage rating at which fast charging has to be carried out 48V/72V for Indian
electric cars like the Mahindra e2o Plus P8, Mahindra e-Verito and upcoming
Tata electric cars Up to 750V or even higher used by global electric cars like
Nissan Leaf.
1.2.1 Solar

4. SYSTEM ANALYSIS
TecSo Charge+zone Ltd. serves charging needs of EV users. Company provides a hassle
free and reliable charging services for all types of Electrical Vehicles
(EVs).CHARGE+ZONE has indigenously built a mobile application &
CHARGE+CLOUD that fully automates and supports an unmanned EV charging station
that will contribute to enable EV adoption in India
We operate with an open charging Network (OEM Agnostic), easy to Connect, Charge
and Configure. CHARGE+ZONE has deployed EV Charging Stations for Buses, 4
wheelers, 2 wheelers and battery swapping for 3 wheelers, We perform CAPEX & OPEX
Execution Model.
1. Park your EV so that charging point / gun can be plugged to charging socket on
the Electric Vehicle.
2. Follow the steps in CHARGE+ZONE app to start charging session after the payment
is done.
3. Start charging session by tapping Start Charging on your mobile app screen.
Electric Vehicle charging station are installed at various places across the
india.Mainly,it is on highways and nearby cities. Electric Vehicle charging station
needed power supply from grid in order to provide charging to the EV cars and EV bike.
Sometimes due to the power cut out and Power shortage Customer has to face the issue
to charged their EV cars and bike.
Some Company EVCS system is so much complicated that normal public/ customer
won’t understand any steps to charge their EVs means there is lack of awareness
regarding the EVCS. Also ,People are not very much aware about the EVCS working and
they repeatedly tap the screen and misusing the machine /public Electric vehicle
infrastructures.
Main weakness is that during power cut out there is no back up system provided to charge
the EVs.There is need of Backup power to the electric Vehicle charging station and its
infrastructure.
Due to the power shortage EVCS faces so much issue.Slight upgradation in current
system which is integrating the current system with solar and Battery energy storage
System. This Upgradation will provide the backup power during the power shortag
5. SYSTEM DESIGN
CMS is very important for tracking the real time status of all the chargers Charge+Zone
have installed. This is the place where you can check everything regarding the charger.
This is the dashboard of CMS, in the dashboard one can see different charts and
information like how many users of EV are there, total number of EV charged in any
duration of time, total units consumption etc. there is a side navigation bar to switch to
different modules from dashboard. Chargespot Dashboard contains information like
number of chargers which are online, in use, not available. It contains list of all chargers
of the company.
5.2.1 OCPP
5.2.2 OCPI:
Testing of EV Charger
Recently, I visited our 60kw EV charging station at Karjan location where I tested the electric
charger and new firmware installed by site engineer.
In that location, I checked the charger by opening it, then checked the connections between
electrical parts and the following protection equipment.
After inspection and testing of this charger, I detected following problems related to software
and hardware,
After facing this problem, I noted it and made a report on it and sent it to company’s
maintenance team and R&D to solve this problem.
There, I also promoted charge+zone and made people aware of its future benefits, as well
as teaching them how to use the mobile charge+zone application.
As part of Site Survey, I will visit the client's location and survey the site where the EV
charging station will be installed.
After filling all the above detail, I have to draw a Hand Sketch Layout of Site and send it to
the design team part for further process.
6.4 My Outcomes
7.0 CONCLUSION
As, an undergraduate students of L D College of engineering. I would like to say that this
internship is an excellent opportunity for me to get the ground level plus the Corporate
culture working experience in the booming sector of Todays Worlds that is EV charging
station .I believed that my spent time as a design engineer had taught me many skills like
plan layout that I would never have gained through straight going in to job. I am so
grateful to L D college of Engineering for provide me such a wonderful internship at
Charge+zone.
