IHG FLS Check List & Report – Rev 1 (Jun 2018)

1 Overview
This inspection report has been formatted to provide a means for checking and verifying all key Fire Life Safety against IHG requirements. This report should be
used from the beginning of the project right through to hotel opening (and beyond if required). All items related to the FLS inspection and checking process
should be noted within this report so as to provide a full history of recommendations given and actions taken.

While this report covers many areas, it is not fully comprehensive and does NOT replace the need for those involved with the hotel project, to read,
understand and utilize the IHG Engineering Standards. The IHG Engineering Standards provide the details necessary for a proper and compliant installation.

IMPORTANT :-
– For all new build hotel projects, compliance with all points listed must be attained prior to hotel opening.

– For re-branding and conversion hotel projects, priority and completion targets will be noted by the inspection engineer.
These priority and completion targets will be broken down into 2 Phases as follows:-

PHASE 1 Works – Essential Fire Life Safety and Brand Standards Compliance.
Phase 1 works must be completed prior to hotel opening (or re-branding as the case may be).

PHASE 2 Works –Ongoing Brand Standards Compliance.

Phase 2 works must be completed within the designated set timeframe (As indicated in months).
For example: “2 – 6 mths” means, priority 2 and must be completed within 6 months)

In all cases, the final inspection prior to hotel opening will be arranged only after the assigned IHG Engineer gives the approval to do so. This
approval will be based on the successful completion of the “Approval for Final Inspection” form found in Section 4 of this document.
