BEFORE YOU PERFORM ANY MAINTENANCE ACTIONS IN THE AIRCRAFT, CHECK THE LANDING M
GEAR PINS AND THEIR STREAMERS FOR CONDITION.
NOTE: IN CASE THAT LANDING GEAR PINS AND THEIR STREAMERS WERE INSTALLED IN AN
AIRCRAFT, BEFORE REMOVING THEM, IT MUST BE VERIFIED THAT ALL CAUTIONS AND
WARNINGS ARE PROPERLY INSTALLED IN THE COCKPIT.
1. VERIFY THE CONDITION OF LANDING GEAR PINS AND THEIR STREAMERS AS FOLLOWS AND
REINSTALL THEM BEFORE ANY ACTION IS PERFORMED IN THE AIRCRAFT. M
- VERIFY THAT EACH PIN CAN BE EASILY OR PROPERLY INSTALLED (FUNCTIONAL CHECK).
CHECK FOR DEFECTS, ONLY CRACKS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
- VERIFY THE PHYSICAL CONDITION OF EACH LANDING GEAR PIN STREAMER. CUTS,
FRAYED EDGES AND STAINS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
- IF YOU FIND DAMAGE AS INDICATED ABOVE, PLEASE REPLACE THE AFFECTED LANDING
GEAR PIN AND/OR STREAMER
- IF LANDING GEAR PINS AND THEIR STREAMERS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN STOCK, PLEASE
OPEN A TLI FOR 3 DAYS FOR REPLACING THEM.
5. CHECK ENGINE #2 OIL LEVEL OF IDG AND REPLENISH IF NECESSARY. CHECK FILTER
DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE INDICATOR. REF. AMM 242151-200-010 (MPD 242100-07-1) (FIG. 02)

6. CHECK ENGINE #2 DO A VISUAL INSPECTION AT ZONE 448AR (FAN COWL). VERIFY THAT
ACOC MATRIX IS FULLY DRY, ANY LEAKING IS NOT PERMITTED. DO THIS INSPECTION USING M
A FLASHLIGHT.
7. CHECK THE APU OIL LEVEL AT SIGHT GLASS SERVICE “AND REPLENISH IT AT FULL MARK M
ON THE OIL SIGHT GLASS”. RECORD THE AMOUNT OF OIL UPLIFTED IN THE MAINTENANCE
LOG BOOK. REF. AMM 499000-600-004 (FIG. 03)
NOTE: DO THE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION CHECK AND SERVICING A MINIMUM OF 15 MINUTES
AFTER THE LAST SHUTDOWN. DO NOT RE-SERVICE BEFORE THE APU IS OPERATED
AGAIN.
NOTE: IF THE OIL LEVEL IS AT THE FULL MARK ON THE OIL SIGHT GLASS, DO NOT ADD OIL
TO THE APU OIL RESERVOIR.
CAUTION: DO NOT FILL THE GEARBOX ABOVE THE FULL MARK ON THE SIGHT GLASS.
DURING APU OPERATION THE OIL EXPANDS WHICH COULD CREATE AN OVER-
FILLED CONDITION RESULTING IN LEAKAGE AND POSSIBLE OIL SMELL IN THE
CABIN.
