1. Arrival
.1 Ensure the chocks on the nose and main landing gear wheels are proper installed after engines
were shut down.
.2 Perform general condition inspection on doors and panels. Makes sure no damage or missing
parts on adjacent areas.
NOTE: PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO DETECT SIGNS OF POSSIBLE PARTS DEPARTING
AIRCRAFT(PDA) ON ACCESS PANELS/LANDING LIGHT ASSEMBLY /LEADING EDGE
SLAT INBOARD SEAL/HIGH SPEED TAPE (IF APPLICABLE) AND REPAIR DOUBLERS
(IF APPLICABLE) FOR CONDITION AND SECURED.

.3 Install nose and main landing gears ground lock pins / sleeves on landing gears if required for
aircraft towing or maintenance.

2. Power Plant and Nacelles


.1 Check engine oil quantity ECAM ENG page. If the indication is below 19 quarts (for TPE service
engine oil if indication below 20), service engine oil tank with” Mobil Jet Oil II” to “FULL” within 30
minutes of engine shutdown, but not overfill. Record uplift and final quantity in the Technical Log
Book.
CAUTION: 1. A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES SHOULD ELAPSE AFTER SHUTDOWN TO
ALLOW TANK PRESSURE TO BLEED OFF BEFORE SERVICING OIL TANK.
2. ENSURE OIL FILLER CAP IS PROPERLY SECURED AFTER OIL SERVICING.
.2 Perform visual inspection of engine inlets and exhausts, including spinners, visible fan blades
and turbine blades for obvious damage, security and fluid leakage.

.3 Perform visual inspection of nacelles and pylons from ground level and through cabin window for
obvious damage, security and fluid leakage.
.4 Ensure all the engine cowls, especially fan cowls, are securely locked and flushed.
CAUTION: UNSECURED COWLS CAN LEAD TO IN-FLIGHT COWL VIBRATION AND MAY
CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE ON ENGINES DURING FLIGHT.

3. Landing Gear and Hydraulics


.1 Visually check landing gears, brakes and landing gear doors for condition and fluid leaks. Ensure
shock strut extensions are normal. Clean exposed oleo areas with lint free wiper and MIL-H-
5606 specification oil (for TPE and KHH/TSA only).
.2 Visually check tires for wear and condition.

.3 Check hydraulic system quantity and service with ”SKYDROL LD4 or EXXON HYJET V“ as
required. Record uplift in the Technical Log Book.
NOTE:
1. IF ECAM INDICATION IS UNSERVICEABLE, CHECK RESERVOIR LEVEL
PHYSICALLY.
2. REF TO TTW MIB-2016012 STARTED FROM 09 SEP 2016, HYDRAULIC FLUID
TYPE ON TTW FLEET SWITCH FROM SKYDROL LD4 TO EXXON HYJET V IN TPE,
ALL OTHER OUTSTATION CAN STILL USING SKYDROL LD4.
4. Fuselage, Wings and Empennage
.1 Visually check radome and exterior surface of fuselage, including cabin windows. Check access
panels and doors for security, ram air inlets and exits, pitot heads,temperature probes,static
ports,drain masts for condition, security and fluid leakage.
NOTE: INSPECTION PITOT-TUBE /STATIC PORT CONDITION TO ASSURE AIRCRAFT
CONDITION IS QUALIFIED FOR RVSM OPERATION.

.2 Visually check left and right wings and flight control surfaces from ground level and through cabin
window for condition, security and fluid leakage.

.3 Visually check empennage and flight control surfaces for condition, security and fluid leakage.

.4 Check navigation, strobe, anti-collision and landing lights for obvious damage.

.5 Visually check that the crew oxygen system thermal discharge indicators are not ruptured.
5. Auxiliary Power Unit
.1 Ensure APU fire extinguisher discharge indicator (red disc) is not ruptured.

.2 If operation or MEL requires APU to be used throughout duration of following flight, check APU
Oil level at sight glass. Service with” Mobil Jet Oil II” as required.
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE OIL FILLER CAP WHEN OIL IS HOT AND OIL LEVEL IS ABOVE
ADD RANGE ON SIGHT GLASS.
NOTE: DO NOT OVERFILL THE OIL TANK AS OIL SMELL IN CABIN MAY RESULT.

.3 If APU oil servicing performed, record the APU HOURS and CYCLES from MCDU APU
SERVICE DATA (AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-804-B),and duplicated APU HOURS and CYCLES
on Technical Log Book APU Oil service record column.

6. Fuel
.1 At all stations if transit time exceeds 9 hours, check fuel tank sumps for water content. If water is
present, continue draining until all traces of water are cleared.

.2 Visually check fuel vent outlets for obstructions.

.3 Obtain a fuel sample from the refueling bowser and check for presence of water before refueling.

.4 Check that the refuel-coupling cap is refitted, magnetic level indicators and fuelling station access
door are stowed and secured. Ensure that the MODE SELECT switch is put to "OFF" position
and the refuel/defuel control panel is secured closed after refuelling/defueling procedure
accomplished.

7. Cockpit and cabin
.1 Review Technical Log Book, Deferred Defect Log and Cabin Log Book entries,check LLR(Last
Leg Report) and LLER(Last Leg ECAM Report) from CFDS and action as required.
NOTE: IN EVENT OF ANY SYSTEM COMPUTER REPLACEMENT, ENSURE THAT PFR
PRINTOUT IS MADE AND ATTACHED TO THE U/S LABEL FOR SHOP
INVESTIGATION.
.2 Perform a walk around check through passenger cabin, galleys and lavatories for general
condition.

.3 Ensure the potable water system service has been accomplished by GHA as required. Ensure
caps are fitted, panels are secured and no signs of residual water seepage from inside of service
panel after servicing accomplished.
Check the waste quantity indication at the forward attendant panel for proper potable water
servicing.
CAUTION 1: WHEN SERVICING, ENSURE THAT THE OVERFLOW VALVE IS OPEN AS
INDICATED BY THE OVERFLOW VALVE OPEN LIGHT.
2: WHEN SERVICING WITHOUT ELECTRICAL POWER, MANUALLY OPEN THE
OVERFLOW VALVE BY TURNING THE TANK OVERFLOW HANDLE TO THE
‘OPEN’ POSITION. FAILURE TO ENSURE OVERFLOW VALVE BEING OPEN
CAN CAUSE TANK TO RUPTURE.

.4 Ensure the toilet system service has been accomplished by GHA as required.. Check the waste
quantity indication at the forward attendant panel for proper toilet servicing. Ensure caps are
fitted, panels are secured and no signs of residual fluid seepage from inside of service panel after
servicing accomplished.

5. Depends on operation environment condition, please tick action column accordingly


Ground Operation not in Heavy Rain condition
Ground Operations in Heavy Rain. Ref AMM Task 21-26-00-860-002 (selection of
ventilation “EXTRACT” P/B to “OVRD” is to be performed to prevent rainwater ingestion
into the Avionics Ventilation System through the open Skin Air-Inlet Valve during heavy
rain).
NOTE: DEFINITION OF HEAVY RAIN- RAIN SEEMINGLY FALLS IN SHEETS;
INDIVIDUAL DROPS ARE NOT IDENTIFIABLE; HEAVY SPRAY TO
HEIGHT OF SEVERAL INCHES IS OBSERVED OVER HARD SURFACES.
8. Final
.1 Ensure Technical Log Book, Deferred Defect Log, Cabin Log Book and maintenance work
sheets are reviewed and completed as necessary. Ensure selection of ventilation “EXTRACT”
P/B to “AUTO” if previous has been selected to “OVRD” .Ensure Flight Manual, Aircraft
Certificate File and Logbooks are stowed on board aircraft.

.2 Remove all protective covers and blanks (if installed) before flight. Ensure all engine cowls,
especially fan cowls, are securely locked and flushed.
CAUTION: UNSECURED COWLS CAN LEAD TO IN-FLIGHT COWL VIBRATION AND MAY
CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE ON ENGINES DURING FLIGHT.

.3 Check all doors and external panels are secured. Makes sure no damage has been caused by
ground equipment.

.4 Ensure nose and main landing gears ground lock pins / sleeves, if fitted, are removed and
stowed on board.

.5 Perform a final walk around check of external condition.

8. Final
.6 Ensure the parking area is clear for aircraft push-back.

.7 Ensure all wheel chocks removed when the tow truck was connected to aircraft (upon flight crew
instruction).
