WHY GOALS MADE
EASY?
• There are multiple activities so that you can ensure
that your students have generalized the skills.
• WHAT IS GENERALIZATION?
• Generalization is the ability for a student to
perform a skill under different conditions, the
ability to apply a skill in a different way, and to
continue to exhibit that skill over time
(maintenance). Often students can generalize skills
both in the conditions under which they
demonstrate the skill, and in their responses. Some
students however have a greater level of difficulty
demonstrating a skill in situations other than the
situation that the skill was originally taught. By
teaching students to apply learned skills in a wide
variety of environments, with various people and
varying materials, students can increase their level
of independence and flexibility.
TIPS FOR USE:
• You might not want to print the whole
document right away. Go through the
document and decide what you need first.
• Use these activities HOWEVER you want.
You can use the task boxes as file folders
by putting a whole task box page in a file
folder.
• Use my Preschool Assessment to help you
record progress on goals.
• What is included?!
• 3 file folders
• 3 task boxes
• 6 worksheets

PRINTING/PREPPING
TIPS:
• When printing anything in this document, make sure
that the printing settings are set to ‘print to printable
area’. This will ensure that the sizing comes out
correct.
• For the file folders:
• Here is a tutorial from my friend Jessie
(@specialresources_byjessie) on how to prep file
folders. CLICK HERE
• For the task boxes:
• I cut, laminate, cut but I know some people
laminate and then cut. Whatever works for you,
but you will have to laminate the task boxes.
• I laminate the covers and labels and then use
double sided tape to tape them to the boxes.
• For the worksheets:
• They are in black and white and ready to print
and GO!
• There are labels on the next few pages for bins,
binders, and binder spines. Use them however you
want.
