15 CARPENTRY TOOLS

1.) HAND SAW / LAGARI

- A pair of hand saws that can suit your needs must be present in a
woodworking workplace. The hand saw is preferred by traditional
carpenters because it gives them control over the cut and a flawless finish.

2.) TAPE MEASURE / METRO or MEDIDA

- The standard length of the tape measure is 5 meters. However longer
tapes are also offered for larger applications. The secret to any
measurement is accuracy, and the secret to accurate, high-quality
workmanship is taking the time to cut once and measure twice.

3.) SPIRIT LEVEL / LEBEL

- Spirit levels are crucial for producing the ideal leveled surface or product.
Some carpenters prefer longer levels, but it all depends on the use and
type of woodworking operation.

4.) HAMMER / MARTILYO

- A claw hammer with a rounded claw end for removing nails and a blunt flat
end for hitting is the most fundamental tool that everyone should own.

5.) CHISEL / PAIT

- To chip out wood for door hinges and other fine woodworking operations,
carpenters and woodworkers utilize chisels. Similar to hole punches,
corner chisels also use a single hammer blow to cut a piece of wood.

6.) CLAMPS / KASINGAY

- Clamps are incredibly useful in the carpentry sector. In order to saw,
carve, and perform other woodworking tasks more successfully while
freeing up your hands, they are used to hold and grip pieces of wood and
lumber. You can connect them to a variety of work surfaces thanks to their
availability in a range of sizes, designs, models, and types.

7.) SCREWDRIVER / DESTORNILYADOR

- You should always have a set of screwdrivers on available for any
construction or furniture project. A variety of flat-head and Philips head
screwdrivers in various sizes can be useful for practically any project, but
a carpenter may also utilize other types of screwdrivers.
8.) CARPENTERS SQUARE / ESKWALA
- The carpenter's square is the tool of choice for framing, roofing, and stair
work. It is a hand tool with two straight arms at right angles that is used to
make or measure right angles. No matter how advanced our technology
gets, the square is still one of those things we will need.

9.) POWER DRILL / BARENA

- To make a hole in a range of materials, a power drill is a device with an
electrical motor that rotates a replacement drill bit at your chosen speed.
Screwdriver bits can also be inserted into the drill to make it simpler to
drive screws through various materials.

10.) SANDPAPER / PAPEL DE LIHA

- is a unique, thick paper with an abrasive, rough surface. A wall will
frequently be sanded using sandpaper before being painted. When
painting or refinishing something, sandpaper can be used to remove loose
paint, grit, or grime. Sandpaper is also used by woodworkers to smooth off
wooden surfaces.

11.) PLANE / KATAM

- The purpose of the plane, which is a deftly hafted cutting edge, is to skin
or shave the surface of wood. A plane is used to smooth, level, and
straighten a surface by erasing the markings left by a prior tool (such as
an adz, ax, or saw).

- The plane's blade cuts just like a wide chisel and can be compared to a
chisel fitted into a block of wood or metal. The bench planes, also known
as the jack, testing, and smoothing planes, are the ones that are typically
used. Other planes are available as carpentry tools as well, and they are
utilized for certain tasks.

12.) CROWBAR / BARETA

- A crowbar is a metal bar tool with flattened points at each end, frequently
with a small crack. It is also known as a pry bar, wrecking bar, gorilla bar,
or pinch bar. This fissure serves as a tool for prying two materials or items
apart or for removing nails.

13.) CARPENTERS PENCIL / LAPIS

- Builders use carpenter pencils because they may leave marks on
materials like stone or concrete. With a straight edge that is clear and
simple to follow with a saw blade, this shape and lead density help mark
legible lines.

14.) UTILITY KNIFE / PANGKALAHATANG KUTSILYO

- A utility knife is a fantastic tool to have in the home tool box or junk
drawer. It cuts with a removable razor blade, so the edge is both incredibly
sharp and very disposable. That makes this type of knife ideal for all of the
grunt-work cutting jobs that are too difficult for scissors and too dull and
damaging for a nice pocket knife.

15.) CIRCULAR SAW / LAGARING BILOG

- Probably the most popular saw, especially among home handymen, is the
portable electric circular saw with a blade linked to a motor shaft. Almost
any material, including wood, metals, plastics, fiberglass, cement blocks,
slate, and brick, can be cut with the right blade. It can rip and crosscut
wood.
