To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter to recommend Madison Bartlett for employment with your district. I was
her university supervisor during her ten- week student teaching experience in fifth grade. She
excelled in this setting.

Madison was systematic in her preparation to co-teach in her classroom. She got to know all her
math students as they moved through her class daily, understanding what their specific needs
were and how they might be addressed in her lessons. She spent time becoming familiar with the
grade level standards curriculum. Her lessons were inclusive and targeted toward the daily
objectives. Math was an area of strength for Madison, and she was able to collect data to create
effective lessons based on need.

Madison's communication with staff and students was open and professional. She is a good
listener and was respectful to all. She worked collaboratively with her team and readily
consulted with others for ideas and suggestions. It was a pleasure to watch her teach, and I am
confident she will be an asset to any team.
