Pattern Bear Bram


*Rattle*

Material Used stitches


Approx 25 grams of coton for the head and the handle ch = chain

A little bit cream yarn for the muzzle sc = single crochet

A little bit dark grey yarn for the nose and the mouth sc2tog = single crochet two

2,5 mm crochet hook stitches together

6 mm black safety eyes

7 cm diameter wooden ring

Rattle beading

Synthetic filling

If necessary a leather label

 
 

HEAD
You start at the front of the head.

Crochet 2ch

1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook

2. 2sc in each sc, repeat (12sc)

3. 1sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (18sc)

4. 2sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (24sc)

5. 3sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (30sc)

6. 4sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (36sc)

7. 11sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (39sc)

8-12. 39sc

13. 11sc, sc2tog, repeat (36sc)

14. 4sc, sc2tog, repeat (30sc)

15. 30sc

Place the eyes between row 4 and row 5 with 4sc between space.

Stuff the muzzle, place the rattle beading in the head and stuff the head further on.

16. 3sc, sc2tog, repeat (24sc)

17. 2sc, sc2tog, repeat (18sc)

18. 1sc, sc2tog, repeat (12sc)

Fill the head further on.

19. sc2tog, repeat (6sc)

Close the head (see photo).

MUZZLE
Crochet 6ch

Start in the secound ch from the hook and crochet around this chain:

1. 4sc, 3sc in the next sc, 3sc, 2sc in the next sc (12sc)

2. 1sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (18sc)

3. 2sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (24sc)

4. 7sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (27sc)

5-7. 27sc

Stuff the muzzle.

Sew the muzzle just below the eyes on the head (see photo).

NOSE
Crochet 6ch

1. start in the secound sc from the hook and crochet 5sc, 1ch

2. skip the first sc and the secound to last sc, 3sc, 1ch

3. skip the first sc and the secound to last sc, 1sc, 1ch

Sew the nose on the muzzle and embroider a dash down (see photo).

EAR (MAKE 2)
Crochet 2ch

1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook

2. 2sc in each sc, repeat (12sc)

3. 12sc

4. 2sc, sc2tog, repeat (9sc)

Close the ear with 4sc.

Sew the ears between row 11 and row 12 with 6sc between space on the head (see photo).

HANDLE
Please note: It may be that your handle is too narrow or too wide, maybe you need more

or less sc, then the handle appropriate to the wooden ring.

Adjust this as needed.

Crochet 9ch

1. Start in the second ch from the crochet hook and crochet 8sc, 1ch, turn your work.

2-29. 8sc, 1ch

Fold the handle to the wooden ring and sew the long sides to each other.

Sew the head very solid in the middle of the handle.

Sew if necessary a leather label on one side of the handle (see photo).
