Pattern Reindeer Ralf


*Rattle*

Material Used stitches

Approx 25 grams of coton for the head and the handle ch = chain

A little bit yarn for the muzzle sc = single crochet

A little yarn for the nose and the mouth sc2tog = single crochet two

2,5 mm crochet hook stitches together

5 mm black safety eyes

7 cm diameter wooden ring

Rattle beading

Synthetic filling

If necessary a leather label

 
 

HEAD

You start at the front of the head with the muzzle.

Crochet 2ch

1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook

2. 2sc in each sc, repeat (12sc)

3. 1sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (18sc)

4. 2sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (24sc)

5. 24sc

6. 3sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (30sc)

7. 30sc

8. 4sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (36sc)

9. 36sc

10. 10sc, sc2tog, repeat (33sc)

Change color!

11. 33sc

12. 9sc, sc2tog, repeat (30sc)

13. 30v

14. 8sc, sc2tog, repeat (27sc)

15. 27sc

16. 7sc, sc2tog, repeat (24sc)

Place the eyes between row 16 and row 17 with 3sc between space.

17. 6sc, sc2tog, repeat (21sc)

18-21. 21sc

22. 5sc, sc2tog, repeat (18sc)

Stuff the muzzle, place the rattle beading in the head and stuff the head.

23. 1sc, sc2tog, repeat (12sc)

Stuff the head further on.

24. sc2tog, repeat (6sc)

Close the head.

NOSE

Crochet 2ch

1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook

2. 2sc in each sc, repeat (12sc)

3. 3sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (15sc)

4. 3sc, sc2tog, repeat (12sc)

Stuff the nose.

Sew the nose between row 4 and row 9 on the muzzle (see photo).

Embroider a dash down (see photo on the next page).

EAR (MAKE 2)

Crochet 2ch

1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook

2. 1sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (9sc)

3. 2sc, 2sc in the next sc, repeat (12sc)

5-6. 12sc

7. 2sc, sc2tog, repeat (9sc)

Close the ear. Fold the ear and close it (see photo).

Sew the ears on both sides of the head (see photo).

ANTLER (MAKE 2)

The antler consists of three parts!

Start with the long branch:

Crochet 2ch

1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook

2-10. 6v

Close with a sl.st.

Little branch:

Crochet 2ch

1. 6sc in the last chain from the hook

2-5. 6v

Close with a sl.st.

You don’t need to stuff the antlers!

Sew the little branch on the long branch starting from row 4 (see photo).

Sew the two antler parts on both sides of the head (see photo).

HANDLE

Please note: It may be that your handle is too narrow or too wide, maybe you need more

or less sc, then the handle appropriate to the wooden ring.

Adjust this as needed.

Crochet 9ch

1. Start in the second ch from the crochet hook and crochet 8sc, 1ch, turn your work.

2-29. 8sc, 1ch

Fold the handle to the wooden ring and sew the long sides to each other.

Sew the head very solid in the middle of the handle.

Sew if necessary a leather label on one side of the handle (see photo).
