Please note that the screenshots in this document are provided for illustrative purposes only and
should not be treated as an exact representation of the Console Graphical User Interface. It may
differ depending on the software version and installed components. Additionally, the user may not
have access to some functionalities or modules because of the lack of appropriate privileges.
This document describes the out-of-the-box version of the product and does not include project-
specific features or customisations.
Recommended reading
To read and understand this document, one must have basic knowledge about the Comarch
OSS system, its basic concepts, data model introduction, generic views and functionalities. For
introduction to the Comarch OSS system please refer to ComarchOSSUserDoc_Web_Console.
The solution is used to organise all Attachments and to connect them with inventory objects e.g. devices or
business processes. A document can be added to the system in a manual operation by the user or in an
automated way using the OCR functionality.
DMS also provides a history of Attachments, so the user is able to track and compare any changes made in the
document.
4. Once the username and password are entered correctly, the Home page is displayed.

3. Folders and attachments
In the table below, the system displays a list of Attachments that match the query.
• both file name and tags – the slider button is inactive and indicates Name and tag.
• any file name or any tags – the slider button is active and indicates Name or tag.
3. Search by tags – when you start typing, the system dynamically displays a list of suggestions matching
the provided string. You can select multiple tags.
4. Search by tags – you can decide whether your search results should match:
• all the selected tags – the slider button is inactive and indicates Match all.
• any of the selected tags – the slider button is active and indicates Match any.
5. Search with OCR files – you can decide whether to search with OCR files. If the Attachment has an
OCR tag, it means that it was created as a result of an OCR operation.

• Name and tag and Type parameters. This is the default option. The slider button is inactive and
indicates Other parameters and type name.
• Name and tag or Type parameters. The slider button is active and indicates Other parameters or
type name.

Click [Clear] to remove all the applied filters and reset the list of Attachments and folders.
[Show on] [Redirect to folder: /folder's name/] Redirects to the selected folder.
[Assign] [Contact] Opens the Create Interest wizard where you can create and
assign a Contact to the selected folder.
[Create] [Automatic Tagging] Opens the Select rule group dialog where an automatic
tagging can be performed on all the files in the folder.
[Assign] [Contact] Opens the Create Interest wizard where you can create and
assign a Contact to the selected Attachment.
[Create] [Automatic Tagging] Opens the Select rule group dialog where an automatic tagging
can be performed on the single selected Attachment.
[Move attachment to
directory] Allows moving the selected Attachment to a different directory.
[Show on] [Inventory View] Opens Inventory View in the context of the selected Attachment.
Attribute Description
Tags The tags for the attached file. You can select them from the drop-down list.
Attribute Description
Directory * The directory of the Attachment. The default directory is 'HOME', but you can provide a path to
a specific folder to which you want to upload the file.
Type * The type of the Attachment. The default value is 'DEFAULT'. You can select a different Type
from the dropdown list.
Automatic Checkbox indicating whether to perform an OCR operation on the file. Once selected, an
Tagging additional field Rule group is displayed. Based on the rule group selected, the text file resulting
from OCR will be automatically searched to define tags.
5. Click [Accept].
Attachment Manager for the select object is opened. The view is similar to Global Attachment Manager, but
there are two additional buttons:
• [Link] – enables the user to link the selected object with one of the Attachments already stored in Global
Attachment Manager. For more information, see How to link objects to Attachments and directories.
• [Refresh] – refreshes the view.
The Attach file wizard is displayed. It is the same as described in How to add an Attachment in Global
Attachment Manager.
3. You can click to expand a folder or to collapse it. Use the search bar or filters to narrow down the
list.
4. Tick the checkbox next to the Attachment or directory you want to link. You can select more than one option.
5. Click [Link].
6. The Advanced Search for the selected object type opens. Find the object that you want to link with the
selected Attachment.
7. Click [Add].
A confirmation is displayed.
1. Select an Attachment.
2. Click [Other] > [Unlink].
Enables the user to check the Attachment out and download it. After clicking this icon, the lock icon
is changed to red and the file is locked for editing by other users.
Enables the user to check the Attachment in. After clicking it, the Edit attachment wizard is
displayed (for more information see How to add a new version of an Attachment) and the
Attachment is unlocked for other users.
Indicates that the Attachment is unlocked. All users can edit the file. It is active when check out is
available.
Indicates that the Attachment is locked. The other users cannot manage the file while the button is
active. Hover your mouse over the icon to see a tooltip with the name of the user who locked the
Attachment.
Does OCR for the Attachment and allows setting the Rule group and the Priority for the file.
If you did not modify any of the attributes, the following message is displayed.
1. Click on the [Check out] icon ( ) next to the Attachment you want to add a new version of.
The icon is changed to the check in icon ( ). While the file is checked out, you can edit it on your computer.
3. When you finish editing the file, click the check in icon ( ).
4. The Edit attachment wizard is displayed. Drag and drop or select the edited file. You can also modify
optional attributes, if necessary.
5. Click [Accept].
The confirmation message is displayed. The new version of Attachment is checked in. The file is set to unlocked
1. Click the icon next to the version of an Attachment you want to compare.
2. Select [Compare with revision].
3. The Compare contents of attachments view is opened. Click the [Compare file] button next to
another version of the Attachment to display the contents in the panel below. The differences are
highlighted.
1. Click the [Download] button next to the Attachment you want to download.
2. The file is immediately downloaded to the folder where your browser stores downloaded files.
3. A confirmation message is displayed. You can download the Attachment from the notification panel
using the [Download file] button.
3. The file is downloaded directly to the folder where your browser stores the downloaded files.
To add a restriction
1. Select an Attachment.
2. Click [Other] > [Add Instance Restrictions].
4. The Add role wizard is displayed. Select a profile from the drop-down list. You can select more than one.
5. Click [Create].
If you paste the link to the web browser, the system opens Selected Attachments View in the context of the
selected Attachments.
The Move attachment window is opened. You can use the search bars to find the directory you want to move
the Attachment to by the path or by the name. You can find subfolders on the list by clicking on the main folder.
3. Click [Move] to move the file or [Copy] to copy it to the selected directory.
The current directory is displayed above the list of folders and Attachments. Each element in the directory is a
hyperlink you can use to go directly to that folder.
3. Provide a Name of the directory. Optionally, you can add Tags that will be related to the folder.
4. Click [Accept].
[Assign] [Contact] Opens the Create Interest window where the user can assign a
Contact.
[Automatic Allows the user to set automatic OCR for Attachments in the folder.
[Create]
Tagging] Once selected, the Select rule group wizard is displayed.
[Delete]
Opens the Edit directory dialog, where you can modify the Name of
the selected folder and optionally update information about Tags.
To save the changes, click [Accept].
[Edit]
[Edit directory]
Displays the Move directory wizard. Start typing the name of the
directory that you want to move the current directory to and choose
the target folder right one from the list of suggestions. To complete
the process, click [Accept].
[Move directory]
Displays a direct link to the selected directory. You can copy the link
[Other] [Copy directory
by clicking [Copy to clipboard]. This process is similar to How
to clipboard]
to create a link to an Attachment.
1. Attachment tags.
2. Attachment directory link that redirects to the directory.
3. Table with detailed information about Attachment versions.
To open a drop-down list with available actions for the selected file, click the icon.
When the user clicks the icon, a drop-down list with possible actions is displayed.
Search field enables searching for a file or a directory name. To search, type in the phrase and click the
icon.
To display available context menu for linked Attachments, click the icon.
For more details, refer to How to link Attachments to the object type.

Please note that it is possible to set one of the types as default. Click next to the selected type
and from the drop-down list choose [Set as default value].
2. The Type management wizard appears. Fill in Type name. Optionally, type in Profile name.
3. To finish creating the new type, click on [Accept].
3. The Edit type wizard has the same layout as the Type management wizard. Update the required attributes.
4. Click [Accept].
1. Click the icon for the type that you want to delete.
2. From the drop-down list choose [Delete type].
