PROPOSAL

CELEBRATION OF HARI RAYA


AIDILFITRI
YEAR 1445H/2024
INTRODUCTION

Hari Raya Aidilfitri, also known as Eid al-Fitr, is a significant religious and cultural
celebration for Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of
fasting, and is a time for joyous festivities, feasting, and gratitude. It is important for us to
recognize and respect the diversity within our workforce by celebrating this auspicious
occasion together.

OBJECTIVE:

The primary objective of this working paper is to outline the plans for celebrating Hari
Raya Aidilfitri within our company. By organizing inclusive and culturally sensitive
activities, we aim to foster a sense of unity, understanding, and camaraderie among our
diverse staff members.

Proposed Activities:

1.Eid Decorations:

Allocate a budget for purchasing Eid decorations such as banners, lanterns, and colorful
lights to adorn the workplace.

2.Eid Greetings and Wishes:

Encourage all staff members, regardless of their religious affiliation, to extend warm
greetings and well wishes to their Muslim colleagues.

Provide Eid greeting cards or digital platforms for staff to send personalized messages of
goodwill to each other.

3.Company-wide Potluck:

Organize a company-wide potluck where staff members are encouraged to bring


traditional Eid dishes to share with their colleagues.

Ensure the availability of Halal options to accommodate dietary preferences and


religious practices.

4.Eid Clothing Day:

Designate a day leading up to Hari Raya Aidilfitri for staff members to wear traditional
Eid attire, such as baju kurung or baju melayu, to showcase cultural diversity and
promote inclusivity.

Consider organizing a best-dressed competition with prizes to add an element of fun to


the event.

CONCLUSION:

Celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri as a company of 200 staff members presents an


opportunity to embrace diversity, promote cultural awareness, and strengthen bonds
within our workforce. By organizing inclusive activities and fostering an environment of
respect and understanding, we can create meaningful experiences that resonate with all
our staff members, regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs. Through these efforts, we
reaffirm our commitment to fostering an inclusive and harmonious workplace culture.

This working paper serves as a blueprint for planning and executing our company's Hari
Raya Aidilfitri celebration, and we look forward to implementing these initiatives with
enthusiasm and dedication.
