Merits of Ziyarah of Aminullah
The Ziyarah of Aminullah is highly esteemed

as is cited in all books of Ziyarah. In the word
of Àllamah al-Majlisi (r.a), this form is the best
in text and chain of authority. It is
recommended to say it at all of the holy
shrines.
Through considerable chain of authority, it is
narrated on the authority of Jabir ibn
Àbdullah al-Ansari (r.a) on the authority of
Imam al-Baqir (a.s) that Imam Zayn al-Àbidin
(a.s), once, visited the holy tomb of Imam Àli
(a.s). He stood at the tomb, wept, and
pronounced the following words:

Ziyarah of Aminullah ّ َ‫زيارة أَمِين‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
‫أللٌم ص ِو غلَ محم ٍد و أ ِل‬

َّ‫ُم َحمد‬
O' Allāh send Your blessings on
Muhammad
and the family of Muhammad.
allahumma salli àla muhammadin wa ali

muhammad
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َّ َٰ َ ْ َّ َّ ْ
‫ِبس ِم ألل ِي ألرحم ِن ألر ِح ِّم‬
In the Name of Allāh,
the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
bi-smi llahi r-rahmani r-rahimi

َّ َ
َ َ ْ َ
ُ‫ألسالم غلّم ِا ِأمّن ألل ِي ِـ‬َ ُ َ َّ َّ َ‫زيارة أَمِين‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ْ
‫أر ِط ِي‬
Peace be upon you, O trustee of Allah
on His lands
alssalamu àlayka ya amina allahi fi ardihi

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ َٰ َ َ ُ
‫وححجي غلَ ِغب ِاد ِى‬َ َّ ُ َ
and argument of Allah against His
servants.
wa hujjatahu àla ìbadihi

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ْ ْ َ َ َ َ
َ‫أ َّلسال ُم َغل ّْم ِا ِأم َّر أل ُمؤ ِم ِوّن‬َ
Peace be upon you, O Commander of
the Faithful.
alssalamu àlayka ya amira almu'minina

َ َّ
َّ‫ْأش ٌَ ُد َّأه َم َخ َاً ْد َت ِـُ ألل ِي حق‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ
‫ِخٌ ِاد ِى‬
I bear witness that you strove for the
sake of Allah as it ought to be striven,
ashhadu annaka jahadta fi allahi haqqa

jihadihi
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ َْ َ َ
‫وغ ِملت ِب ِن جا ِب ِي‬
acted upon His Book,
wa àmilta bikitabihi
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ َ َ ْ َّ
ّ‫َوأث َبػت ُسو َن ه ِب ِّ ِي‬
and followed the instructions of His
Prophet,
wattba`ta sunana nabiyyihi

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٓ َ ْ َ َ ُ َّ َٰ َّ َ
‫صلَ أللي غلّ ِي وأ ِل ِي‬
peace of Allah be upon him and his
Household,
salla allahu àlayhi wa alihi

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ َٰ َ ُ َّ َ َ َ َٰ ّ َ
‫حجَ دغاك أللي ِإلَ ِخٍ ِأر ِى‬
until Allah called you to be in His
vicinity.
hatta daàka allahu ila jiwarihi

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ ْ ْ َ َ َ َ َ َ
‫ـكبظم ِإلّ ِي ِباخ ِجّ ِار ِى‬
So, He grasped you to Him by His will
faqabadaka ilayhi bikhtiyarihi

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫َو ْأل َز َم ْأغ َد َأئ َم أ ْل ُح َّحة‬

and put your enemies under the claim
wa alzama a`da'aka alhujjata

َ‫َم َع َما َل َم ِم َن أ ْل ُح َحج أ ْل َبا ِلؾ ِة‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ِ ْ َ َ َٰ َ َ
‫غلَ خ ِم ِّع خل ِك ِي‬
although you have inclusive claims
against all of His creatures.
maà ma laka min alhujaji albalighati àla

jamiì khalqihi
ً‫َأ َّلل ٌُ َّم َـا ْخ َػ ْو َه ْفسُ ُم ْط َمئ َّوة‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ِ َِ َ َ
‫ِبكد ِرك‬
O Allah, (please do) cause my soul to
be fully tranquil with Your decrees,
allahumma fajàl nafsi mutma'innatan

biqadarika
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫َر ِأط َّ ًة ب َك َظا ِئم‬

ِ
satisfied with Your acts,
radiyatan biqada'ika
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ُ ْ ً َ
َ‫ُمٍل َػة ب ِذهر َك َود َغا ِئم‬
ِ ِ
fond of mentioning and praying to You,
mulaàtan bidhikrika wa duà'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫ُم ِح َّب ًة ِل َص ْف ٍَ ِة ْأو ِل َّا ِئم‬

bearing love for the choicest of Your
intimate servants,
muhibbatan lisafwati awliya'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫َم ْح ُب ٍَب ًة ِـُ ْأر ِط َم َو َس َما ِئم‬

beloved in Your lands and heavens,
mahbubatan fi ardika wa sama'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫َصاب َر ًة َغ َل ََٰ ُه ُزول َب َال ِئم‬

ِ ِ
steadfast against the affliction of Your
tribulations,
sabiratan àla nuzuli bala'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫َشا ِه َر ًة ِل َف ٍَ ِأطو َه ْػ َما ِئم‬

ِ
thankful for Your graceful bounties,
shakiratan lifawadili na`ma'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ ٓ
َ‫َذأ ِه َر ًة ِل َس ٍَأبؼ أال ِئم‬
ِِ
always bearing in mind Your incessant
gifts,
dhakiratan lisawabighi ala'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ َ َ
َ‫ُم ْش َج َال ًة إل ََٰ ـ ْر َح ِة ِلكا ِئم‬
ِ
longing for the gladness of meeting
You,
mushtaqatan ila farhati liqa'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫ُم َج َز ّو َد ًة أ َّلج ْك ٍَ َٰى ِل َّ ٍْم َخ َزأ ِئم‬

ِ ِ
supplied with piety for the day of Your
rewarding,
mutazawwidatan alttaqwa liyawmi jaza'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫ُم ْس َج َّو ًة ب ُس َون ْأو ِل َّا ِئم‬

ِ ِ
pursuing the morals of Your intimate
servants,
mustannatan bisunani awliya'ika

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫ُم َفار َل ًة ِال ْخ َالق ْأغ َدأ ِئم‬

ِ ِ
quitting the conducts of Your enemies,
mufariqatan li'akhlaqi a`da'ika

َ‫َم ْش ُؾ ٍَل ًة َغن أ ُّلد ْه َّا ب َح ْم ِدك‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ِ َ َ َِ َ
‫وثوا ِئم‬
and distracted from this world by
praising and thanking You.
mashghulatan àn alddunya bihamdika wa

thana'ika
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ
َ‫ّن إل ّْم‬ ْ ْ ُ ُ َّ َ
The Imam (a.s) then put his cheek on the tomb and said:
َِ ‫ٍب أل ُمخب ِج‬َ َّ َّ ُ

ِ ٌَ َ ‫ل‬ ‫ل‬ ‫ن‬ ‫إ‬ِ ‫م‬ ٌ ‫لل‬ ‫أ‬
‫وأ ِلٌة‬
O Allah, the hearts of those humbling
themselves to You are fascinated,
allahumma inna quluba almukhbitina ilayka

walihatun
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫ّن إ َل ّْ َم َشار َغة‬ َ

َِ ‫َو ُس ُبو أ َّلر ِأؽب‬
ِ ِ
the paths of those desiring for You are
open,
wa subula alrraghibina ilayka shariàtun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َو ْأغ َال َم أ ْل َكاصد َِن إ َل ّْ َم َوأط َحة‬

ِ ِ ِ ِ
the sings of those directing to You are
evident,
wa a`lama alqasidina ilayka wadihatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫ّن م ْو َم َـاز َغة‬ ْ َ َ ْ

َِ ‫َوأـ ِئدة أل َػار ِـ‬
ِ ِ
the hearts of those having recognition
of You are resorting to You,
wa af'idata alàrifina minka faziàtun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫ّن إ َل ّْ َم َصاغ َدة‬

َ ‫أغ‬ َّ
‫لد‬ ‫أ‬ َ
‫أت‬ َ
ٍ ْ
‫أص‬ ‫و‬َ
ِ ِ ِ
the voices of those beseeching You are
mounting up to You,
wa aswata alddaìna ilayka saìdatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َو ْأب ٍَ َأب أإل َخ َابة َل ٌُ ْم ُم َف َّج َحة‬

ِ ِ
the doors of responding to them are
wide open,
wa abwaba al-ijabati lahum mufattahatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫اك ُم ْس َج َح َابة‬
َ ‫َو َد ْغ ٍَ َة َم ْن َه َاخ‬
the prayer of him who speaks to You
confidentially is responded,
wa da`wata man najaka mustajabatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫اب إ َل ّْ َم َم ْك ُب ٍَلة‬
َِ ‫َو َث ٍْ َب َة َم ْن َأه‬
the repentance of him who turns to You
modestly is admitted,
wa tawbata man anaba ilayka maqbulatun

َ‫َو َغ ْب َر َة َم ْن َب َن ََٰ ِم ْن َخ ٍْ ِـم‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َم ْر ُح ٍَمة‬
the tear of him who weeps on account
of fear from You is compassionated,
wa àbrata man baka min khawfika

marhumatun
َ ‫َوأإل َؽ َاث َي ِل َمن أ ْس َج َؾ‬
َ‫اث بم‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ِ ٌ ُِ ْ َ ِ
‫مٍخٍدة‬
the aid of him who seeks Your aid is
available,
wal-ighathata liman istaghatha bika

mawjudatun
َ‫َوأإل َغ َاه َة ِل َمن أ ْس َج َػ َان بم‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ِ ٌ َ ُِ ْ َ ِ
‫مبذولة‬
the help of him who seeks Your help is
obtainable,
wal-iànata liman istaàna bika mabdhulatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َوغ َدأ ِث َم لػ َباد َك ُم ْو َح َزة‬

ِ ِِ ِ
Your promises to Your servants are
fulfilled,
wa ìdatika liìbadika munjazatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َو َزَل َو َمن أ ْس َج َك َال َم ُم َك َالة‬

ِ
the slips of him who implore You to
excuse him are forgivable,
wa zalala man istaqalaka muqalatun

َ َ
َ‫ّن لد ِْم‬
ْ
َ ‫َو ْأغ َم َال أل َػ ِام ِل‬
ّ َ‫زيارة أَمِين‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ ‫َم ْح ُف‬
ٌ‫ٍظة‬
the deeds of those who act for You are
preserved,
wa a`mala alàmilina ladayka mahfuzatun

ُ َ
َ ْ
َ‫َو ْأر َز َأل َم إ َل ََٰ ألخال ِئق ِم ْن لدهم‬
ْ َ ّ َ‫زيارة أَمِين‬
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ِ ٌَ َ ِ
‫ه ِازلة‬
Your sustenance to the creatures are
descending from You,
wa arzaqaka ila alkhala'iqi min ladunka

nazilatun
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َو َغ ٍَأئ َد أ ْل َمزِد إ َل ٌّْ ْم َوأص َلة‬

ِ ِ ِِ ِ ِ
Your gifts for further conferrals are
reaching them,
wa àwa'ida almazidi ilayhim wasilatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫ٍب أ ْل ُم ْس َج ْؾفر َِن َم ْؾ ُفٍ َرة‬

َ ُ ُ
‫و ذه‬ َ
ِِ
the sins of those imploring Your
forgiveness are forgiven,
wa dhunuba almustaghfirina maghfuratun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َو َح ٍَأئ َج َخ ْلك َم غ ْو َد َك َم ْكظ َّّة‬

ِ ِ ِ ِ
the requests of Your creatures are
granted by You,
wa hawa'ija khalqika ìndaka maqdiyyatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫ّن غ ْو َد َك ُم ٍَ َّـ َرة‬

َِ ‫َو َخ ٍَأ ِئ َز أ َّلسا ِئ ِل‬
the prizes of those begging You are
offered,
wa jawa'iza alssa'ilina ìndaka muwaffaratun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َو َغ ٍَأ ِئ َد أ ْل َمزِد ُم َج ٍَأ ِث َرة‬

ِ ِ
Your gifts for further conferrals are
uninterrupted,
wa àwa'ida almazidi mutawatiratun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫ّن ُم َػ َّدة‬ ْ ْ
َ ‫َو َم ٍَأ ِئ َد أل ُم ْسجط ِػم‬

ِ
the dining tables for those seeking
Your feeding are prepared,
wa mawa'ida almustatìmina muàddatun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ٌ‫َو َم َواً َو أ ّلظ َماء ُم ْج َر َغة‬

ِ ِ ِ
and the springs of quenching their
thirst are brimful.
wa manahila alzzama'i mutraàtun

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ ُ ْ َ ْ َ َّ ُ
ُ‫أللٌم ـاسج ِحب دغا ِئ‬ َّ َ
O Allah, (so) respond to my prayer,
allahumma fastajib duà'i

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ َ ْ َ
ُ‫وألبو ثوا ِئ‬ْ َ
accept my thanksgiving for You,
waqbal thana'i
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ ْ َ ْ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ
ُ‫وأخمع بّ ِوُ وبّن أو ِلّا ِئ‬ْ َ
and join me to my masters,
wajma` bayni wa bayna awliya'i

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ َ َّ َ ُ ّ َ
ٍُّ ‫ِبح ِق محم ٍد وغ ِل‬
[I beseech You] in the name of
Muhammad, Àli,
bihaqqi muhammadin wa àliyyin

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ْ َ ُ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ
‫وـ ِاطمة وألحس ِن وألحسّ ِن‬
Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn.
wa fatimata walhasani walhusayni

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ ْ َ ُّ َ َ َّ
ُ‫ِإهم و ِلُ هػما ِئ‬
You are verily the only source of my
boons,
innaka waliyyu na`ma'i

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫َو ُم ْو َج ٌَ ََٰ ُم َواي‬

the ultimate goal of my wishes,
wa muntaha munaya
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ ْ َ َ َ َ ْ ُ َ ُ َ َ
َ‫َوؽاِة رخا ِئُ ِـُ موكل ِبُ ومثٍأي‬
َ
and the target of my hope in my
recourses and settlement.
wa ghayatu raja'i fi munqalabi wa mathwaya

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ َٰ ْ
In the book of Kamil al-Ziyarat, the following statements are added to this form of Ziyarah:
ْ َ
َ‫أهت ِإل ٌُِ َو َس ِّّ ِدي َو َمٍالي‬
You are verily my God, Master, and
Lord.
anta ilahi wa sayyidi wa mawlaya

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫أ ْؽ ِف ْر ِال ْو ِل َّا ِئوا‬

(Please) forgive our friend,
ighfir li-awliya'ina
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ََ َ ْ َّ َ َّ ُ َ
‫وه ؿ غوا أغدأئوا‬
prevent our enemies against us,
wa kuffa ànna a`da'ana

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ‫َو ْأشؾ ْل ٌُ ْم َغ ْن َأذأها‬

ِ
distract them from harming us,
wa ashghilhum àn adhana

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
ْ َ َ ْ
ّ‫َوأظٌ ْر ه ِل َمة ﭐل َحق‬
ِ ِ
give prevalence to the Word of Truth
wa azhir kalimata alhaqqi

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َْ ُ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ
‫وﭐخػلٌا ﭐلػلّا‬
and make it the supreme,
wajàlha alùlya
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َْ َ َ َ ْ ْ َ
‫وأد ِحض ه ِلمة ﭐلب ِاط ِو‬
and frustrate the word of falsehood
wa adhid kalimata albatili

ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َََٰ ‫َوﭐ ْخ َػ ْل ٌَا ﭐ ُّلس ْفل‬

and make it the lowliest.
wajàlha alssufla
ِ‫َللا‬ ِ
َ ّ ُ َ
ٌ‫ِإ َّه َم َغل ََٰ هو ش ََٰ ٍء ل ِدِر‬
َ
ِ
Verily, You have power over all things.
innaka àla kulli shay'in qadirun

Merits of Ziyarah of Aminullah
Imam al-Baqir (a.s) then added, “Indeed, any one of

our adherents (Shiàh) who pronounces these words
at the tomb of Amir al-Mu'minin (a.s) or the tomb of
one of the Imams (a.s) shall certainly have his prayer
lifted up on a ladder of light, carrying the seal of the
Holy Prophet’s ring, and it shall be kept so until it will
be delivered to the Riser from Muhammad’s
Household (namely, Imam al-Mahdi (a.s)) who will
receive that person with good tidings, greetings, and
honor.”
It is worth mentioning that the Ziyarah of Aminullah is
considered one of the general forms of Ziyarah of
Imam Àli (a.s), one of the private forms of Ziyarah on
the Eid al-Ghadir Day, and one of the comprehensive
forms of Ziyarah that can be said at all the shrines of
the Holy Imams (a.s).

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali

َ‫َم ْح ُب ٍَب ًة ِـُ ْأر ِط َم َو َس َما ِئم‬

mahbubatan fi ardika wa sama'ika

َ‫َصاب َر ًة َغ َل ََٰ ُه ُزول َب َال ِئم‬

sabiratan `ala nuzuli bala'ika

َ‫َشا ِه َر ًة ِل َف ٍَ ِأطو َه ْػ َما ِئم‬

shakiratan lifawadili na`ma'ika

dhakiratan lisawabighi ala'ika

mushtaqatan ila farhati liqa'ika

َ‫ُم َج َز ّو َد ًة أ َّلج ْك ٍَ َٰى ِل َّ ٍْم َخ َزأ ِئم‬

mutazawwidatan alttaqwa liyawmi jaza'ika

َ‫ُم ْس َج َّو ًة ب ُس َون ْأو ِل َّا ِئم‬

mustannatan bisunani awliya'ika

َ‫ُم َفار َل ًة ِال ْخ َالق ْأغ َدأ ِئم‬

mufariqatan li'akhlaqi a`da'ika

mashghulatan `an alddunya bihamdika wa

allahumma inna quluba almukhbitina ilayka

ٌ‫ّن إ َل ّْ َم َشار َغة‬ َ

wal-i`anata liman ista`ana bika mabdhulatun

ٌ‫َوغ َدأ ِث َم لػ َباد َك ُم ْو َح َزة‬

wa `idatika li`ibadika munjazatun

ٌ‫َو َزَل َو َمن أ ْس َج َك َال َم ُم َك َالة‬

wa zalala man istaqalaka muqalatun

wa a`mala al`amilina ladayka mahfuzatun

wa arzaqaka ila alkhala'iqi min ladunka

ٌ‫َو َغ ٍَأئ َد أ ْل َمزِد إ َل ٌّْ ْم َوأص َلة‬

wa `awa'ida almazidi ilayhim wasilatun

ٌ‫ٍب أ ْل ُم ْس َج ْؾفر َِن َم ْؾ ُفٍ َرة‬
