Dream Dwelling House model designed by using the Revit 2016, a BIM software.

The total Gross


Floor Area(GFA) for this house is 138 square meters, which also consist of ground and 1st floor. The
house looks like above in 3D view,

To start the processes for the quantity take off, a schedule and embodied energy and embodied
carbon assesment a few screenshots will be shown to understand and follow the these processes.

Revit Schedule: Door Schedule will be taken for this example. Steps that are taken shown below,

1: Click View

2: Click Schedules then the object needed to be processed ( in this case doors) or multiple objects
can also be choosen then click OK.3: From the menu that shown select the criterias that
neededandclick the add then click OK.

Revit Quantity Take Off: Walls Material Take Off, steps taken are shown below. in the BIM workbook. You should have
presented final output screenshots.
1: Click on View
Comment [O2]: Avoid terms like below,
2: Click Schedules and then select Material Take off command above in academic writing

3: On the new menu, choose the material that need to be checked for take off. In this case walls are
selected.

4: On the new tab, select the criterias that need to be checked then add them on the list then click
OK.
