ABSTRACT SUMMARY
We started our Investigatory project by researching about how banana peels can be turned into a dishwasher we soon found
an article (Investigative Project) by Danica M.G (2021), Christian S. (2021), and Aileen F.T (2021). we based on that article
for our introduction in 1st quarter we then gathered some information about the hypothesis of the project and some of
the problems of the project that we may fix. We tested they're experiment and we believe that it was false it did not work
for us even though we followed the steps given. We then wrote our own experience towards the experiment that we
followed from the Investigative project and made a experimental design, apparatus, data gatherings, types of control, date
and time, and last variable we all made this for the methodology in 2nd quarter. For results and discussion we decided to
based on the experiment that we followed from the Investigative Project here we concluded our own reccomendations for
the experiment for the following people who want to try it for themselves. Our conclusion for the results and discussion is
that our given experiment did not work, even though we tried many ways to prevent its issues we cannot simply get rid of
those easily. And that is the summary of Investigatory Project, Methodology, and Results and Discussion

INTRODUCTION !
III
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
The Investigative project expected banana peelings to help clean dishes and maybe
minimize the water pollution and it would make dishes smell nicer, and would be great
to use it. Using banana peelings would help the world and lower the garbage pollution
and help stop the garbage pollution by using it in a dishwasher. And even make an
eco-friendly product that could not harm the environment. The banana peels also
serves as a easy dishwasher for some people who dosen't have enough supplies to
clean they're dishes or other utensils needed.
III
HYPOTHESIS
Water pollution is one of the common problems nowadays and it also leads to many unwanted events such
as death of our living creatures in the ocean, the Philippines cause of water pollution is the use of
chemicals from factories, it affects our plants, our air, & overall our world with the use of banana
peelings as dishwashing, it will also help improve the water pollution and also saves money. If you think of
it banana peeling may not be the best solution to help us but that’s where the explanation starts, it has
been proven a lot of times and has been scientifically proven that banana peels can be a very great tool to
help us clean and the bacteria will also react with the way its being cleaned. This project will significantly
help the environment ease the chemical problems that causes water pollution ,
price hike and health problems like gastrointestinal diseases.
III
RESEARCH DESIGN
By doing this we could find out if the
banana peelings can actually clean the
dishes and wash them thoroughly and
carefully after that a refreshing smell
of bananas that could possibly be a
better alternative for dishwashing
liquid.
IV
RESEARCH PROCEDURE
We peel the banana peelings cut then into small pieces then
rubbed it on some of the dishes and washed the dishes
carefully and thoroughly to insure we don't miss a spot Then we
examine the dishes carefully so we can see if it leaves a
perfectly clean dish
RESULTS & DISCUSSION !
V
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
INTERPRETATION OF DATA
While making the experiment, we found out that, as a dishwasher, banana peels are not
convenient nor effective for washing dishes as it would only worsen the state of the dish,
although it saves on costs for sponges, it just makes the dish dirtier than it already is as it
leaves more problems and would most likely only effective for drier dishes but it has proved
many issues such as bad odor and it leaves residue.
V
CONCLUSION
We have concluded that it does work, although it will leave residue from the banana peel making
it somewhat worse, but at the same time leaving the scent of the banana used. Furthermore,
even with a numerous amounts of banana peel that could lessen the waste, if used in a
household, it will run out faster than sponges. Therefore, using peels that does not clean well
can be repurpose in other areas.

Experiment Procedure
If you want to imitate the experiment for any reason whatsoever here: The bananas used in the
experiment were carefully selected and ensured to be fresh and ripe and were locally sourced from a
market. Each manually peeled and once finished the peelings were sliced into medium-small modular pieces
prepared by a knife. These pieces were then thoroughly applied to the dirty dishes but despite that the
results were disappointing to say the least. Not only did the banana peelings fail to effectively remove
any stains from the dishes, but also left behind an unpleasant odor and sticky residue and therefore
failed the hypotheses that was formulated.
