Good day!
In compliance with DepEd Memorandum No.028, s.2020, which stipulates the observance of the
International Day of Mathematics every 14th day of March as proclaimed by the UNESCO during its
40th General assembly last November 26, 2019, the Mathematics Department plans to conduct
Mathematics Week on March 11-14, 2024.
Math department together with the Math Club members prepared different activities/contests for the
week-long celebration following this year’s theme, “Playing with Math”. For 2024 celebration, we want to
celebrate it with mathematical games, puzzles and other entertaining activities, but also “playing “ with
mathematical itself , exploring, experimenting, and discovering.These activities aim to enhance students’
mathematical skills and ability, creativity, artistry while enjoying them. This will later on lead to students’
positive attitude towards Math. (Attached here is the proposed schedule of activities).
In lieu with this, we are seeking for your approval to conduct the said event and to use selected
rooms/laboratories as venues for the different activities. We will guarantee you that the venue and
materials are to be handled with utmost care.

Planning Committee – Spearhead the conduct of the activity through planning the
training content and methodology with objectives anchored on the Division
Memorandum, monitoring the program implementation of different activities, and
provide guidance and directions to work teams in the performance of the assigned tasks
to ensure program of works are accomplished as planned.
Program Committee – Ensure that all tasks and processes are carried and leads the
preparation of the program Completion Report. Also, provide the invitation to the
participants.
Technical Committee – Ensures the quality, adequacy and availability of facilities,
equipment, supplies and resources to support the success implementation of the
program.
Qatame Committee/M & E – Ensure that the processes are observed and final outputs
meet the standard in the training.
Accommodation Committee - Arrange the tables and chairs and other things needed
for the convenience of the guests and students.
Cleanliness and Restoration Committee - Gather the tables and chairs and other
things used in the program and maintaining the cleanliness of the surroundings during
and after the program.
Decoration Committee - Decorates the location of the program and coordinates with
the accommodation committee for the support needed.
Advocacy Committee - Make a video promotion to inform students about the activities
and encourage them to participate.
