Instructions:
The first pupil who will bring the thing that can be found inside
their bag or in the classroom that represents the spatial figure that the
teacher will say, will get a reward.
“Guessing Game”
Instructions:
The first pupil who can guess what solid figure is being described
by the teacher will get a reward.

Present this situation as springboard to the new lesson.
Every week, Mr. and Mrs. Abestano buy their groceries. They
never forget to buy a box of milk for their 3-year old son, Bagsoy.
Milk is very important for children to develop their physical and
mental well-being. All milks are available in a similar box. What
kind of solid figure is it? Have you tried unfolding milk box?
Let us unfold a milk box.
Based on the illustration ( see the illustration on page 200), if we unfold
the milk box we will come up with a closed plane figure.
This two-dimensional figure is called a net.
(Discuss the content on page 202-205 of 21st Century Mathletes)
Group Activity
Distribute a set of nets to each group. Use the nets to
construct a solid figure. Let each group prepare to
describe the solid figure by its name, face, vertex and
edge.
Recall the house rules for them to follow while they are performing their
activity.
