 Learning English is a challenge for me and also my friends. Nowadays, a health worker is
required to learn English to be able to communicate with patients from abroad and even work
abroad.
The Denpasar Ministry of Health Polytechnic has an overseas nursing program, so we have
to be able to communicate in English. To date, I have taken English courses 3 times. One of my
English lecturers is Dr. Made Januarbawa, who is often called Dr. John—a handsome man with a
wealth of experience who always stands in front of my class every Tuesday.
An English lecturer like Dr. John is the one who has to teach us Gen Z. Initial impressions
of meeting Dr. John can be defined by the word extraordinary. The word extraordinary is very
suitable to be given to Dr. John because his way of teaching is enjoyable. Very nice from Dr. John,
for example, is Dr. John didn't always explain the lesson which made us very stressed and tense.
But Dr. John shared more about his extraordinary experiences, which amazed us at his
achievements.
The funniest thing about the experience of being taught by Dr. John was the boy in our
class who usually sat in the back seat, but now he sat in the front seat. Not only that, the men
actively answered all questions from Dr. John with great enthusiasm. Very significant changes
occurred in the classroom because of Dr. John.
We usually study more than an hour in one subject. In contrast to Dr. John prefers to teach
for no more than an hour so we don't get too dizzy. Every time he enters class, Dr. John explains
English to students in simple ways and words so that students can understand it very quickly.
Maybe the word extraordinary is not enough for Dr. John if there is a word more than
extraordinary that deserves it. The point is that Dr. John is the coolest lecturer I have ever met
during my time as a student until now. Hopefully, Dr. John can also continue to teach at the
Denpasar Ministry of Health Polytechnic and teach our younger siblings so that they can make
significant progress in English
