You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para

New York is a big city in the

United States (North
America). It takes thousand
of visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central
Park, the Metropolian
museum and Time’s Square.
In the picture you can see the
Statue of Liberty, a monumet
built between 1875 and 1986.
It is 93 meters tall. The statue

the Hudson River.

Is a large plaza located directly
in front of st. peters basilica in
the vatican city. The papal
enclave inside rome, directly
west of the neighbourhood or
rione of borgo.
At the centre of the square is an
egyptian obelisk, erected at the
current site in 1586.

Is a multi-venue performing arts
centre in Sydney, Australia,
identified as one of the 20

1973 after a gestation beginning
with utzons 1957 selection as
winner of an international design
competition.
Edinburgh Castle is an old
fortress erected on a rock of
volcanic origin located in the
center of the city of Edinburgh. It
has been used for military
purposes since the twelfth
century, being used for civil
purposes only in very recent
times. It is located at the top of
Castlehill Street, one of the four
streets that form the Royal Mile.
The castle is open to visitors
and is managed by the
specialized agency Historic
 Scotland. It is the most visited
tourist attraction in Scotland

At an altitude of 828 meters

above Dubai, the Burj Khalifa,
currently the tallest building in
the world, represents the union
of art, engineering and historical
heritage. It has thousands of
meters reserved for offices, 900
private residences, the 160
wonderful rooms of the Armani
Hotel and the open-air lookout
At the Top, located on the 12th
floor. The most recent
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) – The Burj acquisition is the At The
Khalifa TopSKY viewpoint, which
breaks all the records to be
placed on the 148th floor.
