CROCHET HOOK
A 4.00 mm (UK 8) (US G/6) hook; a marker for marking beg
of rounds; a small quantity of polyester filling; a wool needle
TENSION
17.5 sts and 10 rows to 10 cm over tr fabric, using a 4.00mm
hook. Take time to check your tension. If you have too many
stitches and rows, switch to a larger hook. If you have too
few stitches and rows, switch to a smaller hook.

BASIC BODY (Beg at bottom)
Using 4.00mm hook (US G/6) and colours as indicated in
appropriate patt, make 60ch loosely and join with a sl st to
form a circle, taking care not to twist the ch.
Round 1: 3ch, 1tr in each st to end, sl st in top of 3ch at beg.
Round 2: 2ch, 1tr in each of next 29 sts, dec over next 2 sts,
1tr in each of next 28 sts, miss 2ch at beg, sl st in top of
next st. 58tr.
Round 3: 2ch, 1tr in each of next 28 sts, dec over next
2 sts, 1tr in each of next 27 sts, miss 2ch at beg, sl st in top
of next st. 56tr.
Round 4: 2ch, 1tr in each of next 27 sts, dec over next
2 sts, 1tr in each of next 26 sts, miss 2ch at beg, sl st in top
Cont dec in this manner until 22tr rem.
Fasten off.
Join top and lower seams.
BASIC ARMS (make 2) (Beg at hand)
Using 4.00mm (US G/6) hook and colours as indicated in
appropriate patt, make 2ch.
Round 2: 1ch, 2dc in each st to end, sl st in 1ch at beg.
12dc.
Round 3: 1ch, * 2dc in next st, 1dc in next st, rep from
* to end, sl st in dc at beg. 18dc.
Round 4: 1ch, * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 2 sts,
rep from * to end, sl st in dc at beg. 24dc.
Round 5: 1ch, 1dc in each st to end, sl st in dc at beg.
Rep last round twice.
Round 8: 1ch, * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next
2 sts, rep from * to end, sl st in dc at beg. 18dc.
Round 9: 1ch, * dec over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next
4 sts, rep from * to end, sl st in dc at beg. 15dc.
For Two Coloured Arms: Break off CC and join in MC
for rem.
Round 10: 3ch, 1tr in each st to end, sl st in top of 3ch
at beg. **
Rep last round 8 times.
Round 19: sl st over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 3 sts,
1tr in each of next 5 sts, 1dc in each of next 3 sts, sl st in
each of last 2 sts.
Fasten off, leaving a long end for attaching to body.
Place a small amount of filling into bottom of arms. Join
top seam. Sew to each side of body approx. one row from
top edge.
BASIC LEGS (make 2) (Beg at foot)
Work as given for Arms to **
Rep last round 4 times.
Fasten off, leaving a long end for attaching to body.
Place a small amount of filling into bottom of legs.
Join top seam. Pin legs in position to lower seam of body
evenly spaced and sew.
Note - For Cat and Monkey: make sure you leave enough
space at one side for tail.

the round. Place a marker at the end of round and move it For one colour Rabbit, using MC, work Basic Body, Arms,
after completion of each round. Legs and Head.
Using 4.00mm (US G/6) hook and colours as indicated in For two colour Rabbit, using MC for Basic Body and
appropriate patt, make 2ch. Head, using CC for Arms and Legs, changing colours where
Round 1: Miss 1ch, 6dc in next st. indicated.
Round 2: 1ch, 2dc in each st to end. 12dc.
Round 3: 1ch, * 2dc in next st, 1dc in next st, rep from EARS (make 2) (Beg at top)
* to end. 18dc. Worked in continuous rounds.
Round 4: 1ch, * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 2 sts, Using 4.00mm (US G/6) hook and MC for one colour or CC

Fill head lightly with polyester filling here and where
necessary.

Round 25: 1ch, * dec over next 2 sts, rep from * to end,

Attach head to body at top seam securely.

Finishing Tip - To add detail to face, after embroidering Information

eyes, run thread between each eye and pull in slightly in Pages
