ACTIVITY DOCUMENTATION REPORT


PART I – BACKGROUND INFORMATION

A. Rationale of the Program/Activity

The Learner Government Program is a strategic initiative aimed at


fostering leadership skills, civic responsibility, and community engagement
among students to actively participate in school governance and decision-
making processes, thereby promoting a democratic environment within the
educational institution.
The programs rationale is rooted in the belief that students as primary
stakeholders of the educational system, should have a voice in shaping
their learning environment. It provides opportunities for students to develop
critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, and communication skills,
which are essential to their future professional and personal lives.
Moreover, it encourages students to take ownership of their learning,
fostering a sense of responsibility and accountability. By involving students
in the decision-making process, the program also aims to enhance the
transparency and effectiveness of school governance.
In conclusion, the Learner Government Program is not just about
forming a student-led government body, but it’s more about instilling the
values of leadership, responsibility, and civic engagement in students,
preparing them for their roles as active citizens in a democratic society.

B. Objectives of the Activity:

C. Expected Outcome and Results

The expected outcomes and results of a Learner Government Program


may include:
1.Enchanched leadership skills. Students participating in the program are
expected to develop and enhance their leadership skills.

2.Increased civic engagement. The programs aims to increase students


awareness of civic responsibilities and encourage active participation in
school governance and community activities.
3.Positive school climate. The program is expected to contribute to a
positive school climate by fostering a culture of respect collaboration, and
student empowerment.
4.Enchanced sense of responsibility/. Through their participation in
decision-making processes, students are expected to develop a sense of
responsibility and accountability for their actions and decisions.
5. Increased students satisfaction. A successful Learner Government
Program can lead to increased students satisfaction and engagement with
school, creating a more vibrant and inclusive learning environment.

D. Summary Profile of Participants

Participants in a Learner Government Program are a diverse group of


students who share a common interest in leadership, civic engagement,
and making a positive impact on their school community.
