B. Procedure 1. PASSAGE READING 4. COMPREHENSION QUESTIONS INSTRUCTIONS


• Establish rapport with the learner 4.1. Let us talk about the story.
• Motivate the learner 4.2 I will ask you some questions about it.
• Give instructions 4.3. Do your best to answer based on what you have read.
• Read the titles of the two stories - Ask learner to choose one 4.5. Just do your best and have fun!
• Confirm that the learner is ready to read

• Ask learner to read (title NOT included). • Show the learner the emoji evaluation
• Start timer (DO NOT show the timer). • Ask the learner to say the number of emoji that shows how
they felt
• Encircle last word read at ___-minute mark. about the activity

• Remove learner sheet (un-share screen or retrieve
