Put your crocheting aside and prepare the eyes. To do this, wear the colored rainbows on the
eyes, make the holes in the felt circles and insert the eyes in those holes. You can use any
other eyes if you do not have colored.
Count 16 rows from the top of the head and insert the marker-pin in the center between the
16-17 rows. Go 6 sc to the both side from the center and mark these places with pins. You
should insert the eyes there and fix them on the back with plugs.

Now we need to strengthen the neck. Take the 1,5 mm wire or another similar, I do not take
out the isolation. The section is 25 cm, fold in half, forming a loop, and twist two ends of the
wire relative to each other. Sharp tips isolate using the adhesive tape. Finished twisted wire
with screwing movements insert into the neck and head, add the some filler.

As crocheting the decreases and narrowing of the lower part of the body, add stuffing and
distribute it so that the body is filled evenly and symmetrically. At the end of crocheting, leave a
long thread to pull off the opening and hide the tail.
Nose
Crochet with violet color yarn.
Pick up 4 ch., crochet inc into the second loop from the hook, than 1 sc, 4 sc in 1 loop, on the
other side 1 sc, increase ( 10)
Leave a long tail, because after we will sew the nose it will be comfortable to use the same
thread for eyebrows and mouth embroidering.
Poll out the thread from the last loop, insert it into the needle and make a decorative loop as
it has shown on the photo, so that the nose was smooth.

Do not stuff the wings, fold them in half and crochet 5 sc through both side of the loops.
Leave the thread for sewing.
Mustaches ( 2 details)
For the best form of the beads on the antennae, I crocheted round the food grade, silicone
beads 15 mm in diameter that I have. You can replace them with any other similar in the sizes
or do without them at all, and use stuffing.
Start crocheting with “green grass” yarn.

Crochet the second mustache in the same way, but crochet 14 rows with main color yarn.
For the greater strength and possibility to give different shapes for mustache, I insert the
wire inside.
Take 2 wire with 0,5 mm in diameter, the length
of each is 25 cm. Fold the ends and twist rele-
vantly to each other.
Isolate on both sides and insert into the mustache
until it stops. The second isolated end we will insert
into the head when we willl sew them.
If you desire, you can do without wire. In this
way the mustaches will stick up.
Flashlight

20/21 2 rows 6 sc 6
Leave a long thread, I left 1,5-2 meters, we will crochet the boarders and embroider partitions
for the flashlight and will do a loop for holding.
Insert the thread into the needle, pull off the opening and take the thread back to the upper row
of front loops.
2 ch. up, and then, crochet into front half loops of the 15 row ( 6 half double crochet, inc) х3
– 24 hdc.
Take the thread off from the last loop, and join the ends of the rows with decorative loop as it
was displaying for nose. With the help of needle take the thread to the lower row of the front
loops.
2 ch. up, and then, crochet into half front loops of the 4th row ( 6 sc, inc) х3 – 24 sc.
Take the needle out from the last loop, join the ends of the row with decorative loop as it was
displaying for nose.
Then, start embroidering the partitions using the thread which has left, you should get 4
straight, and make the crossed partitions between them.
Then, withdraw the thread to the top of the flashlight, tie a knot and hide the end of the thread.
The flashlight is ready!
Assembling and decoration
Start assembling from nose sewing.
Find the most appropriate place between the
eyes and fix with pin.
I sew the nose for the outer half loops, in this
way it will be more narrow and voluminous.
Using the same yarn embroider the eyebrows
and mouth.
Place the mustaches on the head, stepping back
6/7 from the center, the distance between the
mustaches 8 sc.
These guidelines are conditional; you can al-
ways place the mustaches in the place where you
like the most.
Then fix the tummy in the position that will be
symmetrical, and sew it to the body.
Comb it using the velcro.
Thread joining of the arms
Fasten the arms between 37and 38 rows of the body, counting from the top of the head.
For joining I use white dental floss thread folded in two and long Gobelin needle.
You can pin the arms with pins to find the most symmetrical place for them.

1. Puncture the body at the point 1, withdraw at the point 2.

1 2 1

Puncture the arms through, step back 2 sc forward, and puncture again, withdrawing the
needle at the point of first puncture. Pull on the thread.
2. Puncture the body withdrawing the needle
to the opposite side, in the place of joining the
second arm. Follow the symmetry of the arms
location.
3. Puncture the second arm through, step back
2 sc, puncture, withdrawing the needle in the
place of first puncturing. Pull on the thread.
Check the symmetry. If everything is okay
then, puncture the body, going back to the initial point, pull on the thread and tie a knot.
4. Repeat all actions again for greater strength, hide the thread.
Thread joining of the legs
We join the legs between the 9 and 10 row of the body, count from the bottom.
Everything is done on the same principle as arms.
Prepare double dental floss thread.
1. We mark the symmetrical points for the legs on the sides of the body. Puncture the body
through, getting 2 ready points with threads that outgo from them. You can attach the legs to
these points and check the symmetry. Find another points if you do not like something.
2. Puncture the leg through, step back 2 sc forward, puncture again, withdrawing the needle
at the point of first puncturing. Pull on the thread, so that the leg adjoin to the body closely.
3. Puncture the body, withdrawing the thread to the opposite side, to the place of first leg joining.
4. Puncture the second leg through, step back 2 sc, puncture, withdrawing the thread in the
place of first puncturing. Pull on the thread. Check the symmetry. If everything is okay, then
pull on the thread and tie a knot.

5. Repeat all actions for greater strength. Hide the thread.

I sew the wings not exactly along the line, but at an angel, as on the photo, then they are
very beautiful from the front.
Congratulations! Your
firefly is ready!...
