DRUG ROUNDUP RESULTS IN THE ARREST OF 18 INDIVIDUALS

The joint effort of Commonwealth's Attorney Nikki Stiltner, Sheriff Allen Boyd, and various
law enforcement agencies has resulted in a significant achievement in combating drug distribution.
This operation, led by our dedicated law enforcement agencies, resulted in the arrest of 18
individuals out of the 38 targeted. Additionally, a total of 82 indictments of the original 137
indictments returned by the Grand Jury, were served. This effort highlights a firm commitment to
upholding the law and protecting the community from the scourge of drugs.

Nikki Stiltner, Commonwealth's Attorney for Buchanan County, emphasized the

significance of the operation and their unwavering resolve: "Let this be a clear message to anyone
attempting to poison our community with drugs: we will relentlessly pursue you and ensure that
justice is served. We stand united with our law enforcement partners to eradicate drug trafficking
from Buchanan County and will not rest until every corner is free from its destructive influence."

Sheriff Allen Boyd, reaffirming the department's dedication to public safety,

added: "This operation demonstrates the formidable impact we can achieve through collaboration.
We are committed to our mission to root out those who threaten the safety of our community with
drug-related crimes. No stone will be left unturned in our pursuit of those who endanger the lives and
well-being of our citizens."

The successful operation, organized by the 29th Judicial Drug Task Force in collaboration
with the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police, marks a critical milestone in the
fight against drug-related crimes. It underscores the united front of law enforcement agencies and
their shared resolve to safeguard the community by maintaining public safety.
