LESSON PLAN IN ANIMAL PRODUCTION

GRADE 10 - SWINE NC II

Quarter I- 1st Day

I. OBJECTIVES:

A. CONTENT STANDARD:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the basics of Animal Production, including subject
expectations and key concepts.

B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners shall demonstrate an understanding of the course structure, content, and essential
skills required for Animal Production.

C. LEARNING COMPETENCIES:

1. Recognize the importance of animal production.


2. Understand the rules and guidelines for classroom behavior.
3. Identify the resources and tools that will be used throughout the subject.

 Introduction to Animal Production (Swine) NC II

In this session, we will explore the following concepts:
 What is agriculture and why is it important?
 Why did you choose to enroll in a farm school?
 What are the key practices in animal production that you will
learn?
B. ACTIVITY: Discuss and Share
1.Divide the students into four groups.
2. Each group shall select a leader and a reporter to facilitate and document the
discussion.
3. Each group shall discuss and investigate what they expect to learn this year
and how it relates to what they learned previously.
4.The reporter from each group shall present a brief report on the group’s
discussion to the class.

Questions:
1. What did you expect to learn this year in Animal Production (Swine) NC II?
2. How does what you expect to learn connect to what you already know about
animal production?
3. Why do you think animal production is important in today’s world?
4. How can learning about crop production help improve the environment and

Group Activity: Sketch Your Dream Farm Layout

1. Divide the students into 4 groups


2. Provide each group with a bond paper and colored markers or pencils.
3. Ask each group to sketch their dream farm layout based on the knowledge
they’ve gained about animal production.
4. After sketching, each group will present their dream farm layout to the class
and explain:
 Why they chose the specific layout?
 What factors they would consider?
