• Plain or reinforced structural
members, forming floors, roofs
& decks of bridges;
• Various shapes ranges from
square, rectangular, circular
and triangular in buildings,
tanks &etc;
• Inclined slabs may be used as
ramps for multistoried parking
or stairs;
• May span in one direction
(one-way slab) and two
direction (two-way slab);

Spacing of reinforcement usually ranges from 0.40 m to 0.60 m o.c bothways
