• The human skeleton is the total and organized set of bone parts that provide the human body
with a firm structure.
• The human being has a bone system formed by 206 bones that grow and develop in childhood
and adolescence.
• the bone is a specialized connective tissue whose extracellular matrix is calcified and includes
cells that secrete it
• The bones that make up the system are linked through joints and are composed of a class of
cells known as osteocytes. The cartilages, on the other hand, allow the bones not to come
together and the tendons connect the muscle to the bone
• Is divided into axial skeleton and the appendicular
