    What We Will Learn:


    This week we will being a new unit in our Language Arts curriculum. Our unit’s
    Essential Question is “Why do living things change?” Our phonics skill for the
    week will be r-blends (br, dr, gr, cr, fr, pr).

    We will be advancing our understanding of subtraction and how it is related to


    addition. We will be using math stories with drawings to solve unknowns. In
    Writer’s Workshop, students will be starting a new unit on Non-Fiction Chapter
    books or “teaching books”.

    Homework:
    Monday: Home Reading and Lesson
    32 p. 133 & 134
    Tuesday: Home Reading and Lesson
    33 p. 137 & 138
    Wednesday: Home Reading and
    Lesson 34 p. 141 & 142
    Thursday: Home Reading and
    Lesson 35 p. 143 & 144

    Important Dates:
    Nov. 9 – Veteran’s Day assembly
    Nov. 12 – Veteran’s Day (No School)
    Nov. 14 – End of Primary Hour
    Nov. 14 – Family Fun night at Sharky’s
    and Panda Express
