• In order to optimize the lift and head that can be produced from
various casing sizes, pumps are produced in several diameters for
application in the most common casing sizes.
ESP System
• Shaft: The shaft is connected to the seal-chamber section and motor
by a spline coupling.
• Stages. The stages of the pump are the components that impart a
pressure rise to the fluid.
Performance Characteristics
Efficiency = [Q x TDH x SG) / (C x BHP)
Where,
Q = gal/min
TDH = ft
C = 3960
Application Considerations
• Broadened Application Range
• ESP Efficiency Optimization
• Maximize Well Production
• Minimum Well Production
• ESP Electrical Isolation
Application Considerations
• Matching Surface Processes
• Reduced Starting Stress
• Increased Design Complexity
• Utility Interface
• ESP Interface
Accessories
Downhole Sensors provides measurement and monitoring elements:
• Pump Intake Pressure
• Internal Motor Temperature
• Pump Discharge Pressure
• Pump Discharge Temperature
• Downhole Flow tae
• Equipment Vibration
Accessories
• ESP Packers: Packers are used with ESP systems when there is a need
to isolate the annular area above the ESP and/or provide a positive
barrier between the pressurized wellbore fluid and the area above
the packer.
