1 This is a canal which runs
adjacent to the main road
which connects the Patparganj
Industrial Estate to the site.

The Bridge is the main


connection between the
industrial area and its
surroundings along with
another bridge in the southern
part of the estate.

The canal running along the


estate is treated like a gutter
running in the middle of the city
and is home to quite a few
2 insects and mosquitos..

PRIMARY ROADS. The road marked in green which is 18m wide is currently
used only by a majority of Rickshaws and some private
SECONDARY ROADS transports.

ISBT The road becomes a major transit connection to the ISBT
which continues further to the railway terminal from the
backside of ISBT.

main road splits into two inside
the Patparganj Industrial
Estate.

During the morning hours and


the evening when there is
inward and outward movement
of the workers of this industrial
estate, this is the junction
which is the main point of
congestion. For the rest of the
day the traffic flow here is quite
even.

This area substation is only


4 responsible for the supply of
electricity to the entire area of
Patparganj. This substation is
not responsible for the
electricity supply to the Anand
Vihar railway station or any
other area.
CONGESTION POINTS The area has two major landmarks which area marked in
blue. One is the electric area substation for the entire area
OPEN SPACES while the other is EDMC Headquarters.
EDMC along with a school nearby account for the traffic

congestion on the southern part of the estate while the
congestion points on the eastern side are mostly due to its
connection with the main road.

These are the open plots present inside the
Patparganj industrial areas. These areas are used as
informal parking spots in the locality and consists of
small “Tapris” along their edges which accounts for all
the public movement in these areas.
These type of open plots are scattered throughout the
area and are usually not considered safe.
These are the typical neighbourhoods in
Patparganj Industrial Estate. Throughout the
day the roads are deserted and there isn't any
significant pedestrian movement along these
paths.
All the Industries are based on one or two plots
of bunglows combined together. Almost all the
industries are of G+2 height except a few.
