Announcing Teams

• Team 1
• Team 2

Olympics Schedule

• Thursday: announce teams, group cohesion, go through SEM sheet,

team acquaintance activity, team name, motto and cheer, hat draw for
game, assigning roles within group, extra time to begin working on the
roles within the group
• Friday: Working on the remaining of the tournament package that will
be handed in no later than in class on Monday
• Monday: opening ceremonies and first tournament
• Tuesday: second tournament
• Wednesday: third tournament
• Thursday: fourth tournament
• Friday: fifth tournament
• Monday: awards
Tournament Package

• MUST INCLUDE:
• Team name, coat of arms, motto and cheer
• Justification of why these are chosen based on the makeup of the group
• Lesson plan for sport (includes):
• Description of warm up
• explanation of the game and the rules of the game
• Rulebook
• Must include a tie breaker
• Safety concerns and considerations
• Duties and responsibilities of each member throughout the lesson
• Your teams tournament draw
• This is where your own team will keep track of your own teams results
• Interview sheets
• Role designations and descriptions
• News report
• Tv report recorded on smart phone or other technology device

10 minutes (2 min per group member)
Game Draw

• Each group will designate one of their members to pick a piece of

paper out of the hat
• That paper will have a number on it
• That is the order in which you will choose your game/event
Role Designation

• Working together as a group choose members who will suit a

specific role due to their personal strengths
• Rule: NO DIBS OUT
• Create a group role sheet that will be included within the
tournament package
• Roles:
• Referees
• Reporter
• Coach
• Scorekeeper
• TV reporter
