-It is the way in which the medi text is
conveyed to the audience.

Verbal
Non-Verbal
MEDIA TEXT-It is utilized to depit any media item.
e.g.
TV programs
Photos
Adverts
Film
Radio programs
Web
Pages
CODES
-Refers to signs that create meaning.

TWO CATEGORIES OF CODES


1.Technical Codes—Refers to method of how an
equipment or device is used to bell the story.This
includes how cameras work in a film,its training
,lighting,etc.
Examples:
a. Basic camera Shot
b.Shots Angles
c.Camera Movements
2.Symbolic Codes
-demonstrates or shows what lies below
wht the audience see.For instance, an actor or a
character’s actionsdepends and describes how or
what that character feels or thinks.
a.Setting
-the place where an event happen
b.Body Language
-refers to an example of non verbal
communication through gestures or
movements.
3.Written Codes
-Use of languages style and textual
layout

MESSAGES

- The information sent


from a source to a
receiver.

-The group of consumers


for whom a media message
was constructed as well as
anyone else who is exposed
to the Message
