INTRODUCTION
There are paper works that should need some materials to make work easier. One of those material is glue. Glue
is any non metallic substance applied to one surface or both surfaces of two separate items that binds them together
and resists their separation. Glue can bought on some stores costs 10-12 Pesos for ever mini bottle of this glue.. They
were spending money in buying glue instead of gaining savings for other purposes. In that case, they should need
alternative way to avoid spending a lot in buying school materials.

Okra or okro known in many English-speaking counties as ladies’ fingers or ochro, is a flowering plant in the
mallow family. It is valued for its edible green seed pods. The geographical origin of okra is disputed, with supporters or
West African, Ethiopian, and South Asian origins. The plant is cultivated in tropical, subtropical and warm temperature
regions around the world. The upper part of the okra contains mucilage which has slimy characteristic. This mucilage
has a good potential to be an alternative glue.

Due to sticky characteristic of okra extract, it can be transform to alternative glue that can be used in school and
in many uses. Students commonly use commercial glue in making their projects such as paper works. In this natural
okra glue people can save money as savings because natural okra glue can be made at home anytime.

This natural okra glue is safe to humans especially to those children because this natural okra glue is non-toxic
because of the nutrients in the okra. The whole okra also can be eaten because of its edible green seed pods. It gives
nutrients in our body such as, people can save Protein, Riboflavin, Niacin, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc and Copper,
and a very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C Vitamin K, Thiamin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Calcium, Magnesium and
Manganese. Okra can also help to humans because it can manage diabetes and it also serves as fiber and folic acid.
OBJECTIVES
General Objectives: To lessen the people
buying commercial glue in stores.
Specific Objective: To determine the
effectiveness of this natural okra glue in
pasting objects.
EXPERIMENTATION
Prepare four pieces of paper. Use
commercial glue in two papers and okra
glue in another two papers. Compare the
stickyness of the two glues. If the okra glue
doesn’t work in pasting the two papers, we
will try to make another procedure to make
the study successful.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The study or creating and transforming okra as alternative glue aims to

prove that there are other resources that can be used in making natural okra
glue. It can be valuable to those whose necessities are some materials as well
as school supplies in school for making such as paper works. It is beneficial to
those who want to be thrifty in buying materials for them to save money since
this study can conduct in home as well as its materials and ingredients need
could be found at near places. The following will benefit this study:

• Students: To lessen the students buying glue in stores and to use this kind
of natural glue.
• Community/Nearby Villages: To make the people save more money in
making this natural okra glue, so they will not buy glue in stores anymore.
• School: Teachers, students, and all of the staffs in school will use this
natural okra glue so they will save money in not buying glue in stores.
