Scenario
In Giliw Company, there is a newly hired employee
named Francheska Calampag from Maubu, Sulu where
she belongs to the Badjao community. She is
discriminated because of her physical appearance, life
background, and her belongingness in the Badjao
ethnic group. When Francheska tried to approach her
co-workers during break times, she receive unwelcome
remarks from her co-workers and when it comes to
working, they didn’t entertain her and tend to avoid as
well as disregard her concerns during meetings and
suggestions since her co-workers didn’t trust her
capability.
Scenario

When it comes to the workplace, her co-employees


ignore her presence. Because of this situation, she felt
lack of belongingness to her working environment as
well as she didn’t deserve her position in the company
which affects her performance and motivation in
striving to her job.
Scenario
The company`s code of ethics should be
strengthen in order for the workplace to
function without discrimination and equal
treatment towards each other regardless of
individual beliefs, culture and tradition. In these
company`s working scenario, it is recognizable
that there is no practice of ethical actions,
nevertheless it should be reviewed by the whole
organization to prioritize the importance of
accepting all kinds of workers in the workplace.
