1) Ensuring cleanliness and presentation of reception area

2) Participating in and facilitating hand over between shifts

3) Checking all requisites are ready in sufficient quantity for the expected

shift.
Check reception equipment and technology prior to use

Check reception equipment and technology will include:

1) Checking the operation and full functionality of all systems and equipment.

2) Arranging for repairs, back-up and service where required.


Review expected daily guest movement

Expected daily guest movement may be related to:


1) Consideration of bookings
2) Consideration of stay rooms
3) Consideration of early departures
4) Consideration of group and individual guest movement
5) Consideration of late check-outs.
Allocate guest rooms in accordance with
special requests, where possible

Allocate guest rooms should include:


1) Pre-rooming of individuals and groups
2) Setting up of guest accounts to reflect allocated rooms
3) Checking of room rates to align with promised/requested rates
4) Setting up keys for group arrivals
5) Updating room status, reservations and pre-registrations.
